Calling all Yale SOM 2009 Applicants!

Nice. We're nearing in on R1's interview percentage.

Had my interview this morning.

I was interviewed by a second year student. She began the interview by saying that it would be the easiest business school interview I would have....and it was.

The interview consisted of a resume walk-through where she had questions about why I chose my undergrad, my major, explain gap in employment. She also had some easy teamwork questions regarding the company I work for. Other than that, she asked "why an MBA" and "why Yale". She left a few minutes for any questions I had for her at the end.

All in all, it took close to 45 minutes (which she said is longer than usual). We also chatted in the hall afterward for 5 minutes or so.

I think it went well. We joked around a little during and after the interview. My interviewer started out a little hard to read (think poker face) but I tried to thaw her out with my easy going nature.....I think it worked

The only bad thing was that I had a serious case of dry mouth and needed water constantly. I wasnt nervous of anything....so I dont know why that happened......no biggie.....

To you guys who have completed your interview, does the application website still say "Interview requested" and "Interview scheduled" as opposed to something like "Interview completed"?

Do we think we can expect the first wave of R2 acceptances in late February?

I hope so. I've been checking my status daily.

They are still reading R2 applications so I am not sure when the invites will go out.

Thanks, Lanter. I'm still hoping for an interview invite so this gives me hope. I appears as though a lot of rd2 interviews have already been completed.

Yup no news not even a peep

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse....

If last year's R2 is any barometer, then the first of the decisions might come out later this week.

That or I'm just naively getting my hopes up.

Yale SOM has a fantastic forum for all applicants where you can ask questions directly to adcom or staff members. Perhaps, you guys can ask for a clue on R2 results.

All second round candidates will hear from us by April 10. Decisions are communicated by email, but we do try to call all admitted students. If you're not going to be reachable by phone, please let our office know so we can make a note of it in your application.

thats what Yale admissions says... I guess we can hear sooner?

They definitely started calling much sooner than their deadline in R1.

Calls have started. I'm in!
