I can't believe, they close the webinar and after they will send us the recorder. We cant talk directed with them. How they can know our concerts? All is unfair and disordered

Guys, from what I could hear in the webinar, GMAC seems to be fixated on the online scratchpad thing! We thought they will take our opinion. But seems like they are confident about it. Bad news!

Just now they have ended the webinar, abruptly!

Thank god... it was a massive waste of time where the online webinar was full (did they not get a commercial lisc?), and the phone line was incomprehensible 50% of the time.... To top it off, the guy basically read off the webpage, and totally avoided addressing the massive dinosaur in the room - their ridiculous whiteboard!

I just took TOEFL online yesterday: I used my whiteboard and cancelled in front of the proctor at the end of the exam, I got the usual 10 minutes break, everything went PERFECTLY fine.

It is my firm belief that GMAT and IELTS (which does not even provide an online version during the pandemic) are going to be destroyed by their respective competitors: GRE and TOEFL.

THIS IS INSANE. they're not even answering questions, instead they just ended the webinar abruptly and said that they will rerecord the first portion? Does anyone else think this is crazy? They literally just ignored all the questions coming in. I am so disappointed in GMAC

They have gone through about 30-40% of the content when they stopped. So what they meant is that they will start from the beginning and RE-record the entire webinar, which lasts 1 hour. We expect a link to the recording in a few hours I guess.... though possibly tomorrow or later...

Hey, so I noticed on the slides (saw someone posted them) that they say the online whiteboard is 'currently' the only option. Do you think this may mean they will change it after a few days of experimenting?

Those slides are from the webinar yesterday. Yesterday, GMAC acknowledged that there are a lot of concerns about the whiteboard but currently it is the only option they have and there’s no other options that are available. The way they explained it and talked about it yesterday, it didn’t seem to be temporary nor did they imply that another solution could be coming soon. It sounded pretty final.

It is possible that they may change from the online scratchpad to another option, but there was no indication given about it to us yesterday. The way it sounded was more of it is what it is.

I booked the online GMAT as soon as registration opened for 27th as I feared all spots will be taken. So, I didn't get to read their loooong page about all the restrictions as I assumed they must be doing the obvious things like GRE.
I cant seem to find any way to email them about getting my full $200 back as I would be cancelling it for sure. Would you know how?

The one-time test, means we can only take it online once. Does this mean in addition to the online test, once centers open up we can take the test in person?

I booked it for the 20 of April, since I assumed as you did that we could use a physical whiteboars. We have only 3 options:
- take the test immediately (I do not think I will)
- postpone it for $25
- cancel for $100

Your other option is to fail the connectivity test or to disconnect at the beginning of the test. In that case GMAC will provide you with a voucher to reschedule your test for free. That saves you 25 bucks and also allows you to resell the voucher potentially. I’m not advocating this measure since it’s unethical but for anyone who has booked the exam without realizing the implications, it could be an option to salvage $$$

Thanks for the info session. very helpful. What do you suggest I do if I want to retake the exam? I am from Iran, both GMAT and GRE deny online exam service for Iran and China (which is just cruel)! I obviously cannot attend a test center OR travel to another country!!!
