Thanks for your inputs, I am seriously considering a reattempt. How much would you reckon guessing the last 4-5 questions and not finishing section could've affected my scores?
It almost certainly hurt your score, but there's no way to know how much.

I too think that it'd be a good idea to take the exam again. Just make sure that you have a good time management strategy in place. 11 questions in 15 minutes is not a situation you'd like to be in again.

Hi ajayb92,

First off, a 710/Q49 is an outstanding Score, so you can comfortably apply to any Business Schools that interest you. As such, a retest is probably not necessary. You're ultimately asking Admissions questions though, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

Hi ajayb92,

First off, nice job with 710! Given that you had some stomach issues that caused you to guess on the last 4 questions and not answer the last question, I’d like to think that if you retook the exam under better conditions, you’d be able to score even higher. How were you scoring on your official practice exams? For how long did you study before taking the GMAT?

To get some advice regarding your candidacy, you may find it helpful to reach out to one of the many admissions consultants here on GMAT Club. If you do decide to retake the GMAT, feel free to reach back out, and I can provide some further advice.

Good luck!

Thanks Rich. I would like to mention that I am your student. Before empower, I used to make many silly mistakes in quant. The course really helped improve my solving process. SC course was mighty helpful too. Overall, I'm very thankful to Empower for helping me cross rhis barrier.

Hi ajayb92,

I'm excited to hear that you improved in BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections - you clearly worked hard and earned that higher Score. Raising a 610 to a 710 is an outstanding improvement (and what I said before still stands - you can comfortably apply to ANY Schools that interest you with that 710/Q49!)! Since you have certain application questions, we have a go-to Expert who we recommend - and as an EMPOWERgmat Alum, we can set you up with a free consultation. Just let me now if you're interested and we can arrange it.

Congrats again on all of your success so far!

Another GMAT Assassin has been made!

Suggesting you retake. If you can even break 720, it will put you in a different category, especially if you're shooting for the "Top Ten."
