taesarin
I already got an offer from
1) Imperial: Masters in Business Analytics - has been there for a couple of years now, good reputation and job placements.
2) Duke Fuqua: Masters in Quantitative Management: Business Analytics (MQM) - not really sure about job placements and how technical is the program
And already interviewed with
1) LBS: Masters in Analytics and Management (MAM) - the first batch for the program in 2019, but its name is very enticing
2) Columbia: Masters in Business Analytics - second batch of the program with location right in NYC.
Want your opinions on this and if you were me, which school would you attend?
In terms of education and connection, which one would be the best?
(Assuming I would be getting the offers from the remaining two as well)
I would see myself in Tech industries (preferably data-driven organizations) and any job opportunities abroad are fine for me (no preference on US/UK)
Thank you in advance. :D
Hello
taesarinYou have been admitted/interviewed for some of the best schools in US/UK, congrats on that
I can see you have no preference toward location, but that must be one of deciding factors for you, since how should I compare for you two schools that are the best in their corresponding countries ?
Overall my first choice would be Columbia, second choice would be LBS.
Columbia is Ivy league, you dont get better than that in terms of prestige and job opportunities.
LBS is the best business school in London/UK.
Having said that Imperial is also very good choice, in case you dont get offer from LBS and decide London is place for you to stay.
Here are some overall rankings of business schools globally, Columbia is on 7. place, Duke is 16. LBS is 23. :
https://www.bloomberg.com/business-schools/2018/But that rankings is US biased of course, here si how EU/UK biased rankings from FT for instance looks like, LBS is on 6. place, Columbia on 9. , Duke on 19. , Imperial on 39. place :
https://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolra ... nking-2019I am fully aware that this rankings are based on strength of business schools overall and their MBA programs, however this is strong indication of brand reputation of school globally and networking opportunities.
I have seen a lot of Master in Business Analytics rankings, while I was doing extensive research for you, and they all look to me quite weird, a lot of really unknown schools there have preceded top ones, or top ones even dont exist on rankings, here is one example, here Imperial is ranked as number 2., but Columbia, LBS and Duke dont even exist on list, which is very ridiculous
:
https://www.topuniversities.com/univers ... ytics/2019Bottom line, you should go to Columbia (Duke is alternative, if you want to change culture/country and go to US and if you dont get admission from Columbia ) or LBS if you decide you want to stay in London (again Imperial is really good alternative ).
Good Luck
