Hey, I would really appreciate any help in analyzing my scores and average question times from my 2 official GMAT exams taken and 3 partial GMAC practice exams. I am taking the official GMAT exam again in just under a week and am trying to figure out exactly what I should be refreshing/focusing on. I think this is the correct thread for this, however, I apologize if not.
Background:
- I took my first official GMAT exam on 4/10/17 with essentially no preparation. Scored 510 (Q27/V34/IR6) - Canceled my score
- My next exam I took on 5/16/17 with essentially 3 weeks of studying. Scored 510 again (Q33/V27/IR7/AWA6)
- I was so worried I bombed the Quant again I think it distracted me on the Verbal as to why I got such a lower score
- I put all my focus on Quant after those 2 exams and been taking just the Quant section of the official GMAC practice tests. My scores have been steadily scoring higher (27->33->35->39->41)
- However, on my most recent GMAC practice exam, I had taken the Verbal as well and scored a 29. I have not put any time into studying for Verbal since my first official GMAT exam except maybe half a day before my 2nd exam.
So now I'm afraid I won't score as well on Verbal as I had 2 months ago. I always end up with ~20 minutes to spare on the verbal section and know there must be better strategies to go about the whole section.
Attached is a more detailed report of my official exams and GMAC practice tests separated by percentiles for question types within each section, as well as the average time spent on each type of question.
If someone could help me figure out the best course of action as what to focus on in this last week, it would be greatly appreciated. Or any tips/tricks.
I can see that in Quant my Algebra/Geometry is the weakest and most likely Sentence Correction for Verbal.
THANK YOU!
