You have great strengths: A strong 715 GMAT FE score, which removes the academic-signal worry. Top-tier consulting experience, shows structured problem-solving, deal/strategy exposure, and credibility with recruiters. Heading a family business and running an 18K+ investing channel are tangible leadership/impact stories (great for essays & recommendation briefings), which are entrepreneurial & leadership proof. NIT Trichy pedigree, strong technical foundation, which top programs value.

Talking about the risks/weaknesses that AdCom might have seen: Clarity of post-MBA goal. Are you returning to consulting? Scaling the family business? Seeking VC/PE, product, or strategy? Top schools want a crisp, realistic 3-year plan. Depth of “head of family business” role. Adcoms will want numbers, revenue, headcount, margin improvement, market expansion, and any P&L responsibility. Signal fit for a given school. With mixed consulting + founder/CEO signals, you must tailor each school application (why this school, why now, how will you use campus resources).

The important things to be fixed could have been to (clarify & quantify your family-business leadership story). Adcoms want measurable impact, revenue change, margin improvement, customer growth, operational KPIs, people managed, systems you introduced, and partnerships closed. Converting every achievement into a concise metric-driven bullet. For example: “Led sales expansion that grew revenue from $X to $Y (+Z% YoY) and added 3 new distributor channels across the Region.” Those numbers are gold for essays and LORs.

Adcom expects a clear post-MBA career anchor with a good plan. Examples: “Short-term: transition into growth/product leader at fintech or join strategy/PE focused on consumer fintech and Long-term: lead a fintech / family-business scale or start a VC-backed fintech.” Explicit plans help adcoms trust your narrative.

Leveraging your social media channel as a strategic asset. Providing KPIs: follower growth curve, engagement rate, conversion (if you monetize), B2B collaborations, brand partnerships, and any press or media mentions. It demonstrates reach, influence, and product/marketing chops.
