Hi all,

I am Henry, from Indonesia
27 y.o
GMAT 680
GPA 3.48
5 y. works experience

I just had an interview with Mr Roger Howgego, a senior consultant for Oxford Said Business School
The interview itself was on skype, and lasted for 30 minutes..
The interview was pretty basic, about why MBA, why now, career progression, career plan, backup plan and so on..
and at the end, make sure you have some question to ask the interview.. but make sure your question is reliable and not easily answered by looking into the oxford website..

As for my performance, I think I was not doing pretty well. I was a bit nervous and with some technical difficulties, it made me struggling to focus on the content of my answers. Also the admission officer told me to sent my official transcript to Oxford with other necessary documents. I think it is a good news?
well, i really hope so..

Hi Donik. It's pretty standard. It was why MBA why Now why Oxford trifecta. It's not a blind interview, the interviewer ask questions about some stuff from my resume. She also asked about whether I have ever been to Oxford. I told her I was there when I was 10 or something and the b-school isn't around. She replied "so never?". Yep never. I think it started strong but finished with a whimp :lol:

Yes , recos need to be submitted before the deadline. If they aren't, the application is deemed incomplete and not considered until they receive the required documents/details.

Not very sure. I didn't apply for the scholarships separately too.
It seems that Said does not grant bursaries, anyone can confirm this pls?

Oxford - Admission Trends!


Hi Everyone, Here is our analysis of admission trends and acceptance chances at Oxford based on our accumulated forum data of applicants. We have analysed our forum data of Oxford applicants from 2012 to 2016 to determine acceptance chances by GMAT score, admission rounds, industry, age, country, etc.

The data used for this analysis is self-reported, so it's advised to use the findings with discretion. They are meant to give only a general idea of admission scenario at Oxford; Don't presume that these findings will hold true all the time.

We would welcome any comments, opinions, suggestions or anything else that you might have to say about the findings of this analysis.


YOY Acceptance Rate and Avg GMAT of Applicants



Sample Size: 581 Applicants





Acceptance Rate by GMAT Score



  • As anticipated, admission rate of Oxford is much higher than that of LBS, UK's top business school. If you score 720 or above on the GMAT, your acceptance chances reach up to 60%.
  • Narrow gap between lines showing interview invites and acceptance indicate that Oxford is selective in sending interview invites, and one can have better chance of acceptance after interview. This may seem obvious but we have seen certain schools who are very generous in inviting candidates for interview, but selective in making final decisions. (See Tuck, Columbia, Fuqua)
  • Acceptance rate of Oxford applicants after interview is close to 76%.
