I’m facing the same problem. 750 words is too less for the overall essay.
It’s also pretty confusing since 750 words is definitely less than two pages and I’m unsure why they added the ‘two pages’ part, but either way, I’m adhering to the limit. I’m sure they added it for a reason.

Depending on the font, margin and spacing used the 750 words can go beyond 2 pages. Instead of giving specific instructions on those aspects they just gave page count.

I recommend sticking to the limit. I also recommend using two pages.

During my research and talking to students, here’s a tip I discovered to stick out:
YOU CAN PUT PHOTOS IN THE TWO PAGES!!!

Great way to make your application stick out!

I was a little confused about this too. Mine is 11 pt font, 1.5 spaced, and is 1.5 pages. It started at over 1200 words and I got it cut down to just under 1000. I was really happy with everything except the word count is still over so I talked to an adcom. They said to not worry about it. And then just yesterday during a webinar they said DO stick to the word count limit so now I’m even more confused.

Better stick to the word count. When not sure it's always better to be extra careful.

Actually, during the Applications workshop, the adcom also mentioned we can provide video links as well, but I'm not sure how that can be embed into these 2 pages now. Adding photos would definitely brighten the essay, but wouldn't it also take up a lot of space?

Yes and it's two pages including all multimedia.

Do 750 words include numbering as well? Basically, do we need to include numbers starting from 1 to 25 in our 750-word count?

Just format the document as a numbered list and go off the word count feature of Microsoft Word.

The 750 words is a ballpark estimate and you can be 5% over as that won't really affect the readability and wouldn't be time consuming for the reviewer on the adcom. Just don't go a lot over such as 800 words or higher.
