Let me begin by giving a brief introduction about myself.
I’m a 23 yr old MiM aspirant from India.
I did my bachelor's in Engineering from a top 5 private institution in the country (Official Government Rankings - NIRF)
Graduated with a CGPA of 8.55/10 last year (June 2021), which translates to about 3.49/4 (Relative to class topper’s CGPA)
Have been working in IT since then so about 13-14 months of work XP under my belt.
I started preparing for GMAT in January but didn’t study consistently, and had difficulty managing everything with my job.
Didn't properly solve the official guides
Gave two free egmat sigma-x mocks and scored 610 and 630 respectively.
But my biggest blunder, by far -
I did NOT write the official GMAC mock tests. I know i should have and i deeply regret not writing the 2 free official mocks now. Probably the dumbest person on GMATClub.
Managed to get 660 on my first attempt (Sep 12, 2022).
65 percentile in Quants (Q48)
69 percentile in Verbal (V34).
IR score is 5.
---------------------------------------------------------
Edit - I got an Enhanced Score ReportVerbal ---
Critical Reasoning - 62nd percentile
Analysis/Critique - 33% correct
Construction/Plan - 40% correct
Reading Comprehension - 71st percentile
Identify Inferred Idea - 50% correct
Identify Stated Idea - 75% correct
Sentence Correction - 66th percentile
Grammar - 50% correct
Communication - 66% correct
Quants ---
Problem Solving - 72nd percentile
Data Sufficiency - 47th percentile
Arithmetic - 54th percentile
Algebra/Geometry - 63rd percentile
---------------------------------------------------------I want to target multiple MiM programs, as many as I possibly can.
Dream schools - ESSEC
HEC Paris
INSEAD
University of St. Gallen
London Business School
RSM Netherlands
ESCP
EDHEC
University College of Dublin
Other Schools I wish to apply to - FSFM
ESMT Berlin
Bocconi Italy
IE Business School
National University of Singapore
SKEMA
Stockholm School of Economics
My strategy is to apply to a tonne of schools and then see how many admits I can secure.
It probably seems like a stupid strategy, but I won't be eligible for MiM next year.
I also do not want to wait for another 4-5 years to apply for MBA.
Also, I might only be able to apply to 70% of these schools.
------------------------------------------------------------
Now I want to break the V40 barrier and get Q50.
720+ is what I hope for, in fact, it's what I desperately need.
And now I'm going to write a lot of mocks, including 4 official ones.
I have about 40 days now until my 2nd attempt (Oct 28, 2022).
I am more than willing to do whatever is required to achieve my target score.
Study plans, tips, advice, anything is welcome. Be brutally honest if you can.
