Conventional wisdom says that Early Decision improves your chances for admission. Does anyone have the numbers for CBS specifically? What are the admission rates for ED versus non-ED applicants? Does ED increase the chances from 17% to 20%, or is it more like 15% to 30%?

This is the question everyone is trying to figure out.
The closest I have been to finding an answer is this interview where an admissions officer says the big bulk of applicants go to regular admission.

It's odd that CBS is so secretive about this, since ED is a huge commitment. I found this:

He claims:
ED: 21.8%
Regular: 18.6%
That's not a big difference (age is a more significant factor!), but we don't know what the applicant pools looked like (i.e. did ED applicants have lower GMAT scores?).
I also don't know if Columbia is as generous with financial aid for ED acceptances as they are for regular - they kind of have you in a strangle hold. All things considered, it doesn't seem that great to apply ED unless you really, really want to go to Columbia above anywhere else.
