As a native speaker but a child of immigrants, I struggled with any sort of verbal section found on standardized tests i.e. STAR testing and SATs. I mostly focused on my strength which was math and science which is why I'm a chemical engineer. When I started my GMAT journey, I was averaging around V27. My ego got the best of me. I was getting very frustrated because in my mind I should be getting these questions correct since I was a native speaker. I did a prep course when I first started my journey and supplemented with the PowerScore bibles. But my verbal score was not increasing. After attending a free workshop from e-GMAT I was sold on purchasing the verbal online prep because of e-GMAT techniques. I put my ego aside and it was the best decision. After completing most of the e-GMAT verbal online prep, my verbal has increased to 34. I am still not where I need to be on verbal. But after months of struggling I am finally seeing the results after using e-GMAT. Since this course is for non-speakers, e-GMAT breaks down the sentence correction to the basics. I found that the most helpful. I really like the easy to understand videos. And the new interface is great too. I am able to study on my phone during my train ride to work. I took E-GMAT quant and verbal online course 6 months back while I was struggling to know what GMAT is all about.

E-GMAT Online course gave me a quick overview of what to expect in GMAT and How to tackle them. It comes with the Study plan session .I'd suggest all of you to go through the study plan videos and then start the course. It is a very systematic course which has been designed in such a way that even if you miss out on learning about some GMAT tips elsewhere, you'll find them in this course.
Apart from the Interactive video sessions, Scholaranium is one of the most useful tools which worked for me. Since I get very less time to prepare for GMAT in the evening after work, I used to solve the number of questions I was comfortable with. I could also choose the difficulty of the questions. That made me solve some questions every day. Which is very important while preparing for GMAT.

There are many important features of e-GMAT which I liked a lot.
SC: I think Sentence Correction is the most premier section of e-GMAT verbal online course. The interactive video lessons are fun to watch. It helps to build up concepts from very basic level and to apply those learned concepts in post assessment Quizzes. After each module, application of concepts to OG questions boosts the confidence level. This is highly recommended part of this course
CR: I like this part for two reasons. Firstly, Its pre- thinking approach helps to imagine correct answer before looking at answer choices. Once you grasp this technique, It becomes your second nature to assume answers and relate those answers with given answer choices. Elimination of wrong answers become very easy task after this. Secondly, Content of lessons is very much diverse which helps to understand the different types of topics presented in GMAT test .

RC: I can not be more thankful to e-GMAT team after going through this section. Reading strategies are the most important aspect. These strategies helps to get immersed into different topics and understand the key insights and details in simplest form. This has improved my reading ability to next level and i started 700 level questions with much ease as compared before.

I believe this was the wisest decision to subscribe for e-GMAT verbal course. I learned concepts which are now helping me in my daily life as well. It has improved many skills such as comprehension, evaluation of different scenarios, reasoning critically.

I am a non-native English speaker who has never come across any kind of verbal questions throughout my life in any of my examinations. I started my prep very randomly. I was in a misconception that the more we keep solving the better we get. It may also be due to the fact that I didn't respect the exam enough. I gave my first GMAT attempt about 6 months ago. I got a 650 (V29 Q48). This was devastating but a good learning experience. The biggest learning for me was that I needed structure to my learning. I have to learn rules and practise them to own them.

I decided to get some guidance. I have been searching many tutoring classes, online material, books etc. but everything seemed to be very overwhelming. Then my friend suggested Egmat. I took the free trial and started doing sentence correction. I was hooked from the word go. The systematic approach to video lessons, application exercise and practice files gave me the much need structure. It is not overwhelming anymore since it took me through the habit learning and application. The OG questions turned out to be the icing on the cake.

I bought the verbal online pack. On buying this I got access to the Quant scholaranium and IR videos. I thought it was pretty generous. I started my prep and within weeks I could see a huge development in my scores. My accuracy in SC and CR have gone up from around 40% to 81%. RCs were a huge help as well. The scholaranium questions helped me get better and faster. By solving the Quant Scholaranium I was getting better in Quant as well.

I gave my next GMAT attempt about a month and a half later. I thought it was pretty hasty but I felt pretty good about it. Though I just got a 700 (V39 Q48); it was more to do with my health condition at that moment. I wrote my exam with suffering from viral fever, sour throat and severe running nose. I owe my improvement in verbal completely to Egmat. My score improved from V29 to V38 in a span of 1 1/2 months. I am very confident that in my next attempt I can secure a very good score. I keep suggesting my friends and colleagues about Egmat. I go to an extent of advising them to just blindly follow Egmat and no other material

I am a non-native speaker and frankly speaking I was terrified about the verbal section of GMAT when I started prep for the first time. Moreover, I am not an avid reader of books or magazines which adds up to it. I actually found about eGMAT through an advertisement on facebook, for a free webminar on a quant topic. When I took the webminar the next hour I decided to go with eGMAT for my prep although I knew nothing about the verbal course. However, I unknowingly made the right decision or rather the best decision by purchasing the entire course and not just quant online.
eGMAT verbal online is THE BEST resource anyone can ever get for his/her GMAT prep. The course has not only helped me in acing the GMAT but also helped me in improving my writing skills and comprehending skills. The eGMAT courses doesn't teach you tips, tricks or shortcuts. Concept, concept and concept is all that matters. When you know the core of the concept and can understand what the test maker is trying to examine you in, getting a good verbal score is a piece of cake and eGMAT helps you in going to that level.
Weirdly, while going through the eGMAT verbal course I never felt like I am learning something extraordinary or something out of the box. The instructors make tough things look so simple that when you answer 700+ level questions you still donot feel that you ate answering a high level question. This helped me a lot in building up my confidence.
The primary concepts such as prethinking, etc. which are mastered through the eGMAT course are the key for a good verbal score. Let me keep this review neat , crisp and straight to the point. I am an Indian engineer and yes the stereotype is true. I am good at quant. I have always been topping my math classes from childhood. Hence, I started my GMAT prep considering I need no support from any external resources. But obviously I was wrong. I was falling in the test makers traps again and again. It was then when I realised a professional classes for GMAT prep.
I went through many online and offline options, but one day I came across an advertisement for a free webminar on GMAT number properties by eGMAT. I have attended the webminar and the next half an hour I purchased the entire course. I style of learning I experienced in eGMAT is phenomenal.
eGMAT courses donot teach you tips, tricks or shortcuts. With tips, tricks or shortcuts you'll only reach probably a Q48 and not a Q51. The courses teach you the simplest ways of understanding and tackling a quant question. No shortcuts whatsoever. This made it easier for me.
For example, since I am good at math , whenever I see a DS question I start solving it immediately and it is when I went through eGMAT course I understood wch questions are not supposed to be solved. Similarly for equation based questions, I never knew I could keep the variables till the end without substituting to make the problem simpler, or where to stop your calculation and move on to options. eGMAT had the most effective instructors and amazingly crafted videos which are suitable for students of any educational background.

EGMAT has a systematic approach to teach the concepts, to provide basic application question and then to provide advance practice question. This helped to learn and improve my accuracy. The audio visual aids helped me remember concepts .The Scholaranium is a perfect tool to provide the GMAT exam experience Moreover, it also helped me to look at the areas where I needed improvement .The different approaches to algebra and the concepts of P&C has made it easier for me to understand .

E-GMAT is a very well-structured online GMAT course. I purchased verbal live online course by recommendation of my friend who was able to improve his verbal score from V31-V32 to V40.
As a non-native English speaking student, I found that verbal section of GMAT was very difficult especially SC which was my greatest weakness. After I finished SC course, I was very impressed by detailed explanations on most tested topics in SC. It made me realized that I had overlooked some important concepts in my previous preparation. Moreover, E-GMAT 3-step solving approach was very practical in the real practice test. It helped me improving my verbal score on practice test significantly.
Another challenge for me was time allocation for GMAT preparation. As a consultant, I normally work for 10 hours on average each day. However, with E-GMAT platform, I was able to access to my lesson or take a quick concept quiz via my smart phone during my trip from home to work.

I originally signed up for e-GMAT primarily for the SC course based on its reputation for having great SC concepts, but I ended up finding out that the other two courses were equally as helpful. The pre-quizzes before each concept gave me a good indication of how prepared I was for each concept, but I discovered that the concept files provided very good explanations of the fundamental rules of grammar and sentence construction. The quizzes at the end of each concept file allowed me to test and solidify my understanding of the lessons I had just completed. 

I found the Manhattan Prep SC to provide me a solid foundation, but the e-GMAT course solidified the concepts and provided with different tricks and shortcuts that other courses did not fully implement.

Although the SC course was my main reason for signing up, I ended up trying out the CR portion as well since I had also used the PowerScore CR Bible, but I kept struggling in applying certain concepts properly.

I scored relatively lower on most CR quizzes for quite some time, but the pre-thinking concept as well as the concept on identifying the conclusions allowed me to focus on the important portions were most assumptions come from. Once you patiently apply pre-thinking steps avoid rushing through each questions, you can answer solutions accurately and quickly, allowing you to spend more time on RC passages, which can take up most of your time. 

I originally was scoring in the low 30s despite having studied Manhattan SC and PowerScore CR, but the concepts and strategies from e-GMAT helped me identify wrong questions quickly to find the correct answer and my scored have increased up to low 40s.

I strongly advise going through the concept files multiple times even if you score highly since certain concepts are tougher to master and you may forget how to apply them since they are not naturally engrained in your mindset.

I recommend going through the concepts in order especially the CR portion since it is important to master identifying conclusions to be able to infer, and it is important to learn inference questions to allow you to pre-think for assumptions.

Although it is recommended to skip certain answer explanations if you got them right, I highly recommend going through the explanations that e-GMAT provides since most of the times many questions can have multiple assumptions you don't necessarily notice or you may have gotten a question right by chance and not by proper techniques.

I also think going through the CR portion before the RC portion helps since many RC questions are based on inference and assumptions skills that you can master in the CR portion.

Make sure to use both the Scholaranium and the OG questions to test out your skills since both these sources provide the most similar types of questions that you will see on the real test.

I strongly recommend signing up for e-GMAT since many courses have good material and provide you with most of the information the GMAT tests, but e-GMAT Verbal shows you the best way to answer questions efficiently. I will be taking the GMAT once again in April and will post my results from results..

I had taken the GMAT for the first time in September 2017. After having prepared for 3 months incessantly with a demanding job in Private Equity, i was scoring a modest 690 on my mock tests. I come from a convent school and have decent command over English language. Thus, I primarily studied from the Manhattan series (which is regarded as the holy bible for Verbal and thought that would be enough to crack the Verbal section. Being an engineer, Quant was never a struggle for me and i was scoring a consistent Q49 on my mock tests. This was going to be my first attempt and i was confident that i could get a decent score with this level of preparation. However, the GMAT taught me a lesson and showed how much i underestimated the test and especially the verbal section.
I scored a mere 640 on the actual exam and realized just how different the Verbal section was from what i had been practicing during my mocks. The GMAT tests very specific skills for the Verbal section. The meaning is of essence and not just the Grammar. I had focused only on the grammar rules during my preparation. At the same time i realised that the course material i used for practicing the Verbal section was far from what the actual questions were on the GMAT.
I was extremely confused about my strategy for prparation for the next attempt. More so because i had exhausted all the material - Kaplan, Veritas, Manhattan, OGs, in my previous preparation. This is when my friend recommended e-GMAT to me and i cant thank him enough. e-GMAT gave me a structure approach to tackling the Verbal section. Kudos to their support team for being so prompt and from the time i made my purchase they have been extremely helpful in guiding me through my preparation. Not only is the course content exhaustive, the approach to teaching the videos is simple yet detailed. The feature i love the most apart from the scholaranium of course, is the detailed explanation of each question and the trailing QandA. Reviewing the trailing QandA helped me understand what are the areas where one can go wrong and how to avoid those. Also, having answered GMAT once, i am now certain that e-GMAT's verbal section comes closest to the type of questions on actual test and difficulty level of the Verbal section.
I have been now getting a consistent 39-40 on my Verbal in mock tests. My next attempt is scheduled in June 2018 and i am hopeful that i can make it to my desired score this time around with the help of e-GMAT.
