This thread is very quiet! Good luck to all who submitted their apps in R1. Here is an approximate distribution of interview invites from last year. It is based on the status updates reported on decision tracker and live wire.

Last year's application deadline was Sept 18 and first invite was reported on Oct 15th. Considering the submission deadlines was 6 days early, can we expect invites from Oct 7th this time?

Interviews start going out from 14th October this year, extract from email sent to R1 applicants below:

12 September 2019: Round 1 Deadline
Beginning on deadline day, the admissions team prepares applications for review. Over the subsequent weeks, we review applications and decide which candidates will move on to the next stage.

14 October through 13 November 2019: Interview Invitations
During this period, we will extend interview invitations daily via email. Interviews are by invitation only, and an interview is required for admission. The MBA Program expects to interview approximately 1,000 applicants this application year.

If you are invited to interview, you will receive an invitation from us between 14 October and 13 November. We will send Round 1 interview invitations once each weekday at 10:30 am Pacific Time (so no need to refresh your email all day).

If you have not received an interview invitation by 13 November, you will not be interviewed in this round.

Please do not submit additional information in support of your application. Rest assured that there is nothing more you need to do to improve your chances for an interview. Your application speaks for itself.

Thanks so much! This helps alleviate uncertainty over the timing of interview invitations.

BTW, I was checking the historical decision tracker data of Stanford applicants and found that 19% of those submitted apps to Stanford stated to have received an interview invite. So anecdotally speaking an applicant has approx 1/4th chance to get an interview invitation. What do current applicants think about this assessment?

I just realized that I had a typo on my resume to Stanford. I should have put 2009 - 2014 as the year attended college, instead I put 2009 - 2004. after so many rounds of reviewing. Is it gonna hurt me badly?

No. We've seen instances of people misspelling "Stanford" who were accepted. If they are interested in you, a small typo will not derail your candidacy. Do not contact them about it or you'll just bring it to their attention!

I understand dude. Wish Stanford could make it shorter and release all decisions at once.

I went through last year's topic and found something interesting. Stanford sends around 1000 interview invites for all the rounds. Also, from the decision tracker, I see Stanford admits nearly 50% of the interviewed applicants.

Some more stats from the Stanford decision tracker

The least GMAT score that was invited to interview was 660.
They will send out invitations at 10.30 AM PST
37 out of 75 interviewed got admission for the class of 2021
The least GPA that got interview invite was 2.89
