Instances where you showed Leadership, Innovation & initiative; Short term goals, how does resume align with these?


You will get similar questions in the real one. You can record it upto two times i.e. your third attempt has to be perfect. Try not to sound too rehearsed when you do get prepared questions/ rerecord them.

i submitted my application yesterday along with video essays...but in 5th ques, i don't know due to some technical glitch, 30 secs prep time also got recorded and it was not looking good (there were some objectionable words...no F-word though :D)....should i mail adcom about this or just let it be? anyone else faced such issues?

also, i didn't receive any acknowledgement mail after submission....just for video essays....did you guys get any mail?

I think you should get a confirmation email bro...
Yesterday I received a mail after the completion of my video essay...
There might be a possibility of technical glitch too while uploading the essays in the end...
Please contact the adcom and confirm whether they received your essays or not...
And it's not a big issue about that 30 sec part...

thanks....i have received confirmation mail on video essays but not on application submission

Then simply get login into your account and verify the status of your application...
If it's showing as submitted then just wait for your interview invitation...

I didn't get an email explicitly saying my application was submitted. I did get the one saying the video essays were done and I also got one confirming my payment of the $85.

Logging into the portal shows my application as submitted though.

It also says they are waiting on transcripts, which I take to mean the official transcripts that are required after admission. I uploaded my unofficial copies as part of the application. And then it says they're waiting on GMAT scores, which were sent to them several weeks ago, so I'm not sure what to make of that part.

I made payment on 6th Nov. Post payment, application portal does not take you to next page to submit the essay. Somehow, I misinterpreted the thank you message that you receive after payment and did not go to next page to submit my application.

I logged-in now to see that my application was not submitted, I have submitted it now. I have mailed to apply@broad.msu.edu explaining my situation. I just hope that they consider my application for round 1.

Also, now my application status page shows that they are awaiting
1. Recommendations [Status shows remind recommender, I thought recommenders don't have to submit recommendation as recommender details are sought for reference, and if need be MSU will contact them (I remenber to read this information on application page)]
2. Transcript [I attached scan copy of my official transcript in my applicatio.]
3. GMAT Score [Score was reported to MSU on 3rd Nov as confirmed by GMAC to me through mail]
4. TOEFL Score [Score was submitted to MSU on 15th Sept as confirmed by ETS through mail to me]

Request fellow applicants to comment on my queries!

it takes them more than 2 weeks to update the information...its done manually...just be patient and don't worry
