Well I had an interview and got rejected. I think it's because my goals are engineering management and if I wasn't a Vice President of Investment Banking for Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan at the same time while having my own startup bringing in $5 mil on the side, the interviewer wasn't going to approve of me. Meanwhile, my dreams are crushed and I'm out $250 in app fees and $3,000 in consulting fees while the interviewer couldn't care less. People should put themselves in others shoes before making decisions that dictate others futures. That's the harsh reality of this world is how fake it is. One has to decipher reality through all the BS that people, companies, and schools put up to make themselves portray an image. This can't be underemphasized. My credentials were plenty of fine to get in as well.

Understand that that must suck. If you don't mind could you provide your stats (gmat/gpa?) Im still waiting to hear back and am super nervous but I'm sure everything works out in the end!

What is the expected timing for interview invites / review of regular decision applications? I submitted RD in early September.

Hi, I have a question regarding the essay word limit. Columbia has specified 500 word limit for the first essay. i wanted to understand how is the word limit counted. Can the word count of Microsoft word be considered as word count? Or is there any rough approximation method, say 70% of the word count shown by microsoft word (as it would eliminate "is" And "that") Can be considered as right word count? Do you receive an email notification or is there an update in the online portal when your interviewer uploads their feedback? Had an interview a few days ago but have not received any communication about the feedback being complete. Is it appropriate to follow up with the interviewer, requesting they upload the feedback as soon as possible? (Given it's rolling, time is important here).
