Congratulations to all guys who are admitted, and best luck to all waitlisted. Could someone share the exact sentence of "waitlisting" in their letter? Mine states "Regretfully, after a careful review of your application, we are unable to offer you a place in the entering class". I guess this is a direct deny, right?:)

For example when I was waitlisted by Cornell they told me to improve gmat. Know I don’t know how can I improve profile in couple of months

Behavioural questions where I was meant to reference the work experiences he wanted, based on my resume. Some Fuqua questions and goals but very little in comparison. And then engaging with him in the end may have taken 30 mins.

I asked questions about returning to India and classes that were helpful.

Entire process took 2 hours which was way longer than I expected

I got the same thing. I believe you could potentially be waitlisted without an interview, but I would consider it a ding. The chances of being admitted at this point are extremely slim.

That makes me 0/5 in applications. Had 2 interviews. Such is life.

Not sure how to take this but I got waitlisted in round 2 without an interview. Then I received an invitation to interview today. Is this supposed to be a good sign? I really didn’t do much on waitlist other than take mbamath (to supplement my low gmat quant), write a letter to express continued interest and alert adcom I will be re-sitting my test. Anyone been in this situation before? And what was the final outcome?

Consider it as your opportunity to impress the adcom. All the best and do this interview with all positivity :). Its gonna be great if you get in. Maybe they are looking for a Ghanese/African candidate and you fit that bill :)
