Do you receive an email when your status has changed to “schedule interview”? Just want to know how often I should check system.

Yes, an email would be sent to notify you that the application status has been changed. But i know what it feels to be in that shoe. I checked as many times as I wanted, and found out the update thru the portal before I received an email.

What is everyone's take on the MBA Data Guru's analysis concluding the Johnson acceptance rate after an interview is 67% ? https://www.mbadataguru.com/blog/admissi ... ance-rate/

This is the 3rd highest rate for top 20 schools after NYU Stern and UCLA Anderson. Does anyone know of any research to contradict this or does an interview invite truly hold that much weight?

I'd take it with a pinch of salt.
The analysis is solid and I have no question with method or the conclusion drawn from the dataset.
But the dataset was from this website, where applicant pool is a bit different than average. It has higher GMAT rate. Also, possibly has more applicants from India. Those two factors alone can sway those results and that number in a meaningful way.
That is not to say that instead of 67 the number would be less than 50. But if that website gives number 67, I personally would take it within 10-15% margin - arbitrarily chosen number to keep my enthusiasm in check!!

I would say that I’m not surprised to see the percentage >50% across many mba programs. Because at that stage, you passed virtually all stages of the selection criteria (gmat, work exp, gpa, essay etc) except one- interview.

By the way, Kellogg rate at the all the way bottom is definitely an outlier because ‘everyone’ at Kellogg gets an interview

This is a blind guess but I am guessing they are planning on interviewing all the R3 candidates with your profile before making a final decision. Those they are real confident in admitting they do so within 2-3 weeks but the rest have to wait. This again is just a guess.

Looks like you have a great profile. I’m sorry with your result but good luck with other applications!

I did not get it. I have an interview scheduled for next week though, so haven’t interviewed yet.
