I interviewed on the 19th and still haven't heard (im guessing mostly bc of the thanksgiving holiday, but there seem to be a couple people who interviewed on the 19th as well that have heard back. So really could be anytime

How weird or bad is it to ask an admissions committee for an expedited decision bc you have other decision/deposit deadlines coming up...? Cornell is killing me here.

It would be pretty aggressive IMO. When are the other deadlines?

BC's is Friday, and they gave me some good money so I hate to turn it down without another admit. Also, I've already asked them to extend it once, which they did. They also suggested I could ask other schools for expedited decisions, which surprised me, and I didnt know if that was true.

Oh, thats tough, but definitely congrats on your offer!

If you have a relationship with anyone in the admissions office I would start there? Especially since it is so close.

I am not sure what is the effect of asking for an early decision but many applicants do that if they have other offers. It is perfectly normal IMO. They might ask you for proof of your other decisions.

Mgraynap

Send them an email first and then call them if you don't get any response. However, if the deadlines are close call them first.
