My wife could not relocate with me to Ithaca and so we'll have to travel back and forth from each other's locations. Finally after 4 months of waiting, Admitted into Johnson and waitlist for scholarship. Got the letter and call today. R2 Applicant, Interviewed on Jan 26th, Indian Applicant with 3.5 yrs experience.

Sorry but that's wrong. They can waitlist you and schedule an interview with you after the decision deadline. DONT EVER EVER EVER GIVE UP!

No need to apologize, I understand and appreciate your comment! I don't think I worded my statement in a clear manner. I am still hopeful, and would be more hopeful if I could confirm Cornell sends out ding emails if it/they are no longer considering you. The confirmation would help me still believe that my application is actually still 'Under Review'. I wanted to use the word 'great' to signify what I think of the process. I would appreciate the application process so much more if programs would notify you ahead of the respective deadline decision. In regards to the, "DONT EVER EVER EVER GIVE UP!", I have been drinking the same kool-aid since my GMAT attempts. But tbh, after seeing ppl got offers from R3. I think i'm getting a ding. Pretty disappointing. I spend the most time on Johnson's application. I applied to Cornell's undergrad 5 years ago and got dinged. I guess it's just not meant to be.

Is it a ding for R3 2yr applicants who have not received any notif till now?? My status was changed to under review after one week of submission as one of my recommendations was submitted late... did it have any affect on my app??? And should I start to prep for the worst??
