Interview is very conversational and I received no questions out of left field. Just be sure to have the standard behavioral questions covered and your story locked down (why mba, why now, why johnson, etc.). If you have visited the school, be sure to talk about that since you're doing a Skype interview. Not sure what your reasoning is for doing the Skype interview, but letting them know hwy and that you wish you could have made it wouldn't hurt. Everyone I've met - staff, students, alumni - has been extremely friendly and I would expect whoever your interviewer is will be the same as well.

Also - check out what is going on with the school in the news (College of Business, new Tech immersion, they just put new furniture in their atrium that people are excited about, etc) and you can use that stuff to ask questions.

I interviewed at Johnson on 2/19 but still haven't heard anything. My application still says "under review." Also, I'm a CGSM applicant.

Any idea what this means?? It seems like most people are hearing back pretty fast. Kind of freaking out over here.

I'm not a CGSM applicant but from what I've heard from Johnson and other AdCom folks is that anyone included in a category for potential scholarship / fellowship is naturally going to bear more time for consideration. In fact, I visited the campus last week and folks were still being processed for interviews.

We are still in the game, until they say otherwise. In the meantime, "If you can't be patient, be distracted." Good luck and try to enjoy the weekend.

My profile is now updated as wait-listed.

I am not sure what can be done in next 1-1.5 months to improve my profile. My GMAT score is 710 and when compared to Asian students, it is a bit low.
Is it worth preparing and taking a shot in this short time frame?
When can we expect to hear back from AdCom and any idea what are the realistic chances of converting this into an admit?

Any advice would help me.

Wanted to share an update from my on campus interview I had last week.

I interviewed with a member of the adcom. The interview was conversational in nature, and semi-blind. The interviewer had not read my application but, of course others had, and had the interviewer ask questions.

The interviewer ran through basic interview questions such as:
• Why an MBA now?
• Tell me about yourself
• What is a weakness of yours?
• Why Johnson? How can Johnson help you achieve your goals?
• What co you consider your greatest achievement?

She also asked other more specific / wild-card questions such as:
• What other schools are you applying to and why? What are the connections between those schools?
• What are the two strongest parts of your application?
• If I had to condense my interview into 3 bullet points, what would those bullet points be?

Overall, these questions lasted ~35 minutes. We then spent 5-10 minutes discussing some questions I had about the program.

She also said that this is the busiest time of the year, and to expect a response within 2-3 weeks.

I'm getting extremely anxious now. It's been a while after my interview but still haven't heard anything. I saw people getting result back in a week after interview.. for me it's been 2 weeks. not sure if it's a bad sign but thought I did pretty well during interview. I applied for r2 and decision deadline is next Tuesday. getting so paranoid. not sure if anybody out there has similar situation.

Hey-- I was in a similar boat. I interviewed on 2/19 and just heard back that I was waitlisted today. I was freaked out that everyone else was finding out so early (even dings and WL) so I like to imagine that they really spent time considering my application and rendering a decision.

Hi Guys,

I just received an email indicating that a decision had been made. I logged in to find that I was accepted. I couldn't be more happier, especially given their turnaround time of 1 working day to release my decision. For the advantage of fellow applicants, I am posting my admissions timeline below. However, I would like to know if the applicants who have received the scholarship were intimated about the same along with the decision letter? As my letter does not happen to mention anything about scholarship.
