I applied to Stern for the full-time MBA program on January 14, 2018 but have not heard anything back yet. Should I assume it's a ding at this point?

I'm applying for fall'18 FT MBA. The third round deadline is mentioned as March 15.
Does it make sense to apply as an International applicant from India.
Please advise.

Just got an update to my application. I was waitlisted. Is it typical to learn of being on the waitlist this "early" in the admissions process? Or does Stern notify as certain decisions are made? I also did not interview with Stern. Is it typical to be waitlisted without an interview?

I am in the same boat as you and it's indeed not looking good. However, I did get an email from NYU Stern yesterday saying: Thank you for submitting your application to NYU Stern. The Admissions Committee is processing and reading applications from around the world - including yours! Our door is open, and we invite you to continue engaging with our community." So, who knows.

I applied to the FT MBA program prior to the January 15th deadline via The Consortium, and I got this same email yesterday. Finally, some sort of communication from the Stern admissions staff...

It's so weird that you got waitlisted without even getting an interview. I really don't understand Stern's admission process. I think most other schools only waitlist candidates who have gone through the interview.

I applied for full time. And second pref was fashion. I got that email yesterday but I got a similar one a few weeks back. But still no word from the adcom. Anyone else in this boat?
