Hey Guys,

I applied in the second round to simon. I had a query regarding the applicqaiton requirements. DO we need to send our official GMAT and TOEFL scores to the admissions office? From whatever I could comprehend from the admissions page, we just need to upload the score reports in our applications. Request you guys to pelase clarify over this.

Best Regards
Akshay

Hello Akshay,

I'd say you don't need to send official scores until you are admitted. Uploading scanned score reports should be enough for both the TOEFL and the GMAT (that's what I did in R1 and I had no problem).

Finished my interview on 23rd November. Nicole Krestos from Adcom took the interview, and interview lasted for 35 mins.
Questions were pretty straight-forward and standard.

1.Walk me through your Resume
2. Why MBA
3. Why Simon
4. ST goals and specific role and location for job after graduation
5. Plan B if ST goals are not met
6.How you differentiates yourself from other applicants?
7. Questions related to my projects and role in organization
8. Any global exposure
9.What is the weakness in your application, according to you?
10.Then she gave a question to me by turning off video and mike. I had to write answer for the question in 2-3 mins in 2-3 sentences
11. As I told my interest is in finance, How are you preparing for finance before coming to Simon
12. Then I asked my questions

Definitely caught by surprise, I didn't think they would make admissions decisions until Dec. 15th. Received email and phone call from Simon stating I have been accepted. Should be receiving the official admission letter via mail shortly.

When did you have your interview? Are you an international student?

When did you have your interview? Are you an international student?

I interviewed during the Simon Event Weekend, which was 10/24. No I am not international, I'm actually from Buffalo (near Rochester).

Not sure yet, that information is supposed to come in the official letter. Still haven't received it in the mail yet.

FROM Simon (Rochester) Admissions Blog: “Small Class Size” – What Does it Actually Mean for You?
The following blog post was written by Isaac Goodling, 2016 MBA Candidate If you talk to almost any Simon student or alumnus and ask them why they chose Simon, one of the first things they are likely to say is, “I loved the small class size.” This is undeniably a great feature, but it is […]

Just logged off Skype and informed I was admitted with scholarship to Simon! I'm a US citizen, who has been working overseas of the past 5 years. Good luck to everyone!

Hello ,

Did any of the Round 2 applicants receive email regarding ISLP ( International Student Loan Program ) ?

I did not receive an invite for interview , but I saw an e-mail regarding ISLP today. Is it usual to receive this e-mail prior to receiving an invite for interview ??

( or am I trying to read too much )

I think they just reached an agreement to offer this funding option to international students and they want to know how many prospectives would be interested and estimate an overall amount.

I also received this email even though I submitted my app in R1. I was asked to complete the questionnaire by 12/12. Otherwise, they would understand that I'm not interested in the ISLP. After answering the questions, I received an email saying that they added my responses to my app package (although their admission decision will not be influenced by my answers).

Just 5 more days for R1 decisions! Good luck!
