Has anyone participated in the online chat on January 27th? Just wanted to know if there was any info about when the invites would start trickling out.
It would greatly help if someone at MIT could come up with a blog-post just like they did for M.Fin.

Hmm I got a single view (and not a complete one) according to Vimeo. Doesn't bode well I feel given others have gotten multiple views.

Don't know if this will make you feel better or worse, but I was admitted w/ $$ in R1, and to this day they haven't watched my video.

So how is everyone managing the wait? I myself have resorted to asking people to hide my phone so that I don't check it every 20 seconds.

Is Sloan first choice for you guys? Or do you have other admits already and are weighing your options?

Sloan and Kellogg for me this year. I'm ok re-applying next year if I don't get in so I only applied to dream schools.

Do schools always call for interview invites or are they sometimes sent via email? And I wonder if they do it rolling like once they read an app they decide or whether they do it in batches somehow?

I don't think schools normally call candidates for interviews.
From Livewire, it seems like Sloan's invites trickle out for few weeks and based on last year's R2, it seems to start coming out in mid Feb (Feb 18th or so?). Last year Northeast had several severe snow storms around this time, and it seems like this year might be similar..

Yup, I'm on the chat too :D

Useful points:

1) Interviews for R2 will start next week and go on through March.

2) If you wish to connect with a student: https://mitsloan.mit.edu/mba/student-exp ... -student1/

3) You can take up to 3 courses outside of sloan to contribute to your degree but they have to be at the graduate level.

4) Boston is great (the 9-2 Boston Bruins loss last night notwithstanding)! There are many different areas across the city, and Somerville and Cambridge also offer interesting opportunities that differ from Boston. The North End is one of my favorite places - delicious Italian food, entertainment, and desserts! (Adcom member)

5) They offer fellowships to about 20% of their students.

How is everyone holding up here?

I think most people got e-mail notifications for interviews in R1, not sure how it will be now but I would imagine it's going to be largely the same.
