Hi, I have also been put on the waitlist. But, I did not yet receive interview invite yet. Other aspirants, who have been put on the waitlist, did you received an interview invite?

Without sugarcoating, it is not great news. The silver-lining? It's not all that bad and uncommen either. You see, the people who are WL after interview have either of two things: Their profile was strong enough to warrant an interview, but may be the interview wasn't as successful. Or, they would admit that person, if some other admitted person didn't enroll. Now, for those who are on WL without interview, are practically in competition with that first lot (whose interview wasn't successful). Because, your profile was strong, but not that much that they invited you to an interview, but just strong enough that they didn't discount you out. So, if adcom is not convinced about those on WL with interview should be admitted, you'd be invited for an interview and if successful, may be even admitted. It's not all lost yet, but chances are pretty slim.
