Dinged - decision letter on the portal like everyone else. Two dings (HBS and Wharton) and no interview invite from Ross (I'm assuming ding at this point). Three decisions received, 4 more to come. Let the waiting continue...

Received a mail at 11:22 PM IST that the status of my application for the Wharton MBA program has been updated. I realized what this means and checked anyway to receive a 'Denied without interview'.

Absolutely hear-breaking! I do not know what else I could've done to at least receive an invitation for interview. Though to be honest, I see 2 weak points in my profile: 1. My under-graduation college and 2. pretty average joe work experience (being from the most competitive MBA applicant pool - Indian IT Male, doesn't help the cause :twisted:) . And nerve wracking part is that I have dings from all the schools who shortlist for interview - except for Ross (I won't consider is a ding till they tell me so on March 16/17) and UVA Darden (yet to send an invite). At this point I don't feel like I should spend another year working on my MBA applications when I can't even be shortlisted for an interview invite.

My best wishes to all the folks on this forum who have been shortlisted for TBD and interview!! Please know that it's extremely difficult/tricky to get even a call for interview so take this opportunity seriously and give nothing but your best. Do your home-work well and be nice in the TBD and things would turn out well. :)
