There are always some schools that will take interest in your profile and some won't but you only need to convert one school for your further education. The bottomline is that you can't accept defeat without fighting a battle and fighting a battle doesn't guarantee victory.
The profile that you have may not be welcome much however one of our candidates with below 700 score with exactly same work profile and industry and same almamater (IIT-B) has received admits from UK colleges. You should also take your chances.
Hi.
I'm an IIT Bombay graduate with majors in Chemical Engineering. I passed out with a CGPA of 6.11/10. Currently, I'm working as a full-time Mathematics instructor for IIT-JEE and also planning to start my GMAT preparation. I have sufficient time to prepare for GMAT apart from working hours and I think by the time I'll attempt GMAT, I will be prepared enough to score 690, 700 or 700+ BUT I'm not sure whether my profile will be accepted by some good universities in the US, UK or Canada for their 2-year or 1-year MBA program with a scholarship or not.
Please help me with what are my chances of getting acceptance from the universities of the aforementioned countries. I can't change my CGPA now but should I change my working industry now to make my profile much acceptable? The reason why I'm asking this question even before starting the preparation is that I don't want to get rejection even after putting in a lot of efforts (which I think I will if I start) to score 700 or more on the GMAT.
My Profile (as of now):
University: IIT Bombay
Degree: BTech In Chemical Engineering
CGPA: 6.11/10
Current Industry: Education (Mathematics instructor for IIT-JEE)
Work Duration (as of now i.e. Feb 2021): 8 Months
Thank you!
