I think, it depends on the profile of the applicants and the background of the alum panel...one of the applicants I know was grilled for an hour.
There will always be at least one alum from your industry! But, yae agreed, profile matters.
I doubt it. I am from a marketing profile and did not get even one marketing related question. 90% of the interview was product management related(I mentioned I want to switch to PM). One of the interviewer was asking detailed product related questions, others were asking more generic ones but definitely no marketing related questions. In fact, I was not asked anything about my current and last company's experience.

My interview was pretty straight forward
1)Walk us through your cv 2)Why MBA, why now and why isb (10 mins ) 3)How will you contribute 4)Asked me to elaborate on the initiative I led for an ngo 5) Ahobby 6)Any questions for us
My interview lasted for 40 mins, of which 10-12 mins them answering the question I asked them

Had an additional question: What did you ask the interviewers? If you might care to share.

Great to see that people are posting their interviews debriefs. Just a small request to all those who are sharing their interview experiences in this thread: Do forget's to add your debrief in "Interview Debriefs" section as well where it is easy to trace than a debrief posted in discussion thread. Thank you!

I searched online for selection ratio at ISB. But, I could find old data(8:5:1). Any idea about the current selection ratio.
As per Aditya, adcom, the final ratio is 1:8.
Any idea about the interview stage?
I remembered a funny incident.
So, I and a few other people in the waiting room did ask him about the ratio post-interview call. That was the time he became a robot and just said "1:8 is the final ratio". We all, including him, burst out laughing at that time! hahaha
Apparently, they aren't allowed to reveal the ratios

There were approx 320 interviews in Delhi evenly spread across three days. I found out from the attendance sheet during my long wait at the interview. If others can find out the same from their city , we can have a pretty good estimate at the ratio.
