Any Bangalore invitees who got done with their interviews and want to discuss panels?
I had my interview yesterday. Very pleasant and amiable, I would say. All done in 25 mins or so. The panel featured 2 alumns (one from finance - my vertical, and one from marketing - my function), and an Adcom member who didn't speak much.
Of course, I don't know how they interpreted it, nor am I aware of the weightage an interview carries so it all comes down to a flip of a coin on the day.

Hello everyone,
Quick question - post the interviews, does ISB send acceptances letters on a rolling basis, or will they all be sent out on the same day i.e., Nov 15, 2018?

Hello Guys
Hope you all are doing well. I would request all of those who interviewed at ISB this year to please write their debriefs here. It would help candidates to get a feel of the interview https://gmatclub.com/forum/isb-204/inte ... brief.html
P.S : - Was out of action for a month or so, but now I am back

Everyone having a great experience is the most interesting part about ISB interview. Quite tough to assess the chance of final conversion when everyone had an above expectation interview Even though there will be only a selected few who get a final convert. Too scary to expect anything for 15th

From last year’s debriefs, I realized that if we are surely out of the race then they advise us to look for alternatives.

Hi Guys,
Just wanted a quick feedback of what are the chances of people to be called for an interview now.
I had selected mumbai as the preferred choice but checked with them recently, they will still call applicants to mohali or hyderabad if need be.
Brief Profile -
Engineer with a Masters in finance degree from ESSEC (France and Singapore) GMAT - 710 4 years of front office IB experience 6 months as an investment associate for a family office Decent extra-curricular

Best of luck to everyone else
You already have a masters so your story must fit with what isb is looking for in a candidate so it's your essays that help to get you an interview invite
Last year after the interview dates as well people got calls. I'd say be a bit hopeful but start working on something else.

Hi Experts/Fellow test takers,
I need a suggestion from you all regarding one of the issues i am facing!
Indian Male! GMAT- 660(Q 49, V 31), striving to break the 700 mark. GMAT in 20 days or so! Working in Oil refinery in Procurement and Contracts function as "Manager"! Work Ex- 5 yrs exactly.
Issue- I have recently received an offer letter for "Senior Manager" in Oil trading function in my same company which shall be effective from 1-Jan-19. My question is i am appearing for ISB round-2, so will it matter that i get promoted before i sit for the interview(of ISB) or is it okay to get promoted and mention it in my Apps(about the promotion) before joining the department.
Will it anyhow help to go and work for a month or so in the new dept and then appear for interview! (I have the flexibility of joining the Senior function either on 1-Dec-18 or on 1-Jan-19)
If i were you I would obviously mention about how much impact I have created within the organization and how I'm getting a promotion. Now here comes the ethics that are involved.
Since what you have said is true and you don't qoute that I'm joining on Dec1/Jan1 it is good to go. Do not miss out on one of the strong points of your profile as that is your recent achievement. Also mentioning the same will generate some interview questions and you will be prepared for them since you know what you have done.
Coming to the helping part in an interview. Obviously if you've taken at new responsibilities you can explain what you are doing
For ex - you mention your promotion Panel - what is your new role? what are your challenges etc you - I am joining on Jan1 doesn't give a nice idea.
Panel - what is your new role? what are your challenges etc you - I am working as a xyz handling abc earlier I did def but addition of these 123 make the job interesting
Also joining earlier can help you maybe later as well hope you get my point. Good luck.

Any idea how many have they interviewed?

Such questions are always fun to look at :D Let's go by location.
Mumbai - 6th and 7th
I'm assuming 50-75 people per day So roughly about 100-150 students interviewed
Delhi - 12th, 13th & 14th Oct here 150 -250 people interviewed
Bangalore - 27th & 28th about 100 - 150 students
Hyderabad - all weekends 6,7 to 10th nov = 5 weekends so about 500-750 people
Mohali - 25th to Nov 10 = 17 days each day 20? atleast 20 per day
340- 400 max
So overall 1100 to 1400 students could be interviewed currently about 850-1100 students could be interviewed
I know everything is an assumption
Guys please mention any flaws and let's discuss on the same
Hahaha. I am sorry to say this but you are way off buddy. Can not say for other locations. But for Delhi location itself, there were 15 panels. An interview was scheduled every 40 mins. Excluding lunch and considering interviews started at 10 and ended at 6, one panel must have taken at least 10 interviews in a day. Then there were 3 days of interviews in Delhi. So, Delhi itself must have had 15*10*3 = 400-500 interviews. This I have taken very modestly. Could be more but certainly wouldn't be less.

Is it? :D then the chances to get in are tougher ;-;
400 per location also about 2000-3000 interviews may be more , 1:6 ratio ;-;

Someone posted earlier that he/she had a chance to look at the number of candidates and I remember it to be around 360 in Delhi
