Calling All Kellogg MBA & MMM Applicants (2020 Intake) Class of 2022!

Anyone from Asia got their invite to interview yet? Seems like invites so far went to applicants from North America, South America, and India only (my observation on decision tracker)

Haven’t gotten one yet either. From Asia (Philippines) as well.

Im in the US and I haven't heard any interview invites.

I just got a skype interview invite. Slots are available for just January so maybe they get those out of the way first. Anyone know what percent of people Kellogg invites to interview that aren't going on campus? or percent invited with alumni in area or percent invited by skype? I know very very specific and probably impossible to know. I might just checkout decision tracker if that's available to interpret.

Did you finish your alumni interview before getting an invite for an admissions interview?

I dont think you get 2 interviews. It's either alumni, on campus, or skype

Two clients applied to MMM, both based in London, one received an invite for alumni interview on Monday Jan 13, the other has not. Interested to hear from other European applicants. QueenieDao

Yes!! Its 14 days, i will do it just before deadline, but I think it will be OK

MBAPrepCoach and others on this thread - Id like to hear your thoughts on a conundrum I’m facing.

I’m an Indian applicant ( GMAT 690 q48,v37 female - architect - Design entrepreneur - currently heading the branding vertical for a non-profit org)

I haven’t heard from Kellogg as yet. Do you think it’s worthwhile to re-write the GMAT next weekend (25th Jan) in an attempt to bring my score up? Do they consider these scores once the apps have been submitted? PS / I’ve also applied to Yale & Haas and haven’t heard from either, so asking this question with regards to those schools too

It appears from your comment that you are assuming that you didnt get interview call from Kellogg due to your low GMAT score. I scored 760 in GMAT, still I didnt get call. One of my friend who applied slightly early got call. I think we will get call in some time. One qsn: when did you submit your application and video essays?

Regarding retaking gmat and updating application: Do that!
When I visited Yale campus for tour, someone from group who had lower GMAT score asked admission personnal whether they should update GMAT and other info like promotions. The lady replied they take into account the updated info and it is suggested that thet update. So do that.

I applied on 8th Jan and submitted my video essay on 10th Jan.

I am currently working on another application, and fear that if I spend the next week on my Gmat my upcoming application will suffer. Thanks for your points I will definitely consider this!

First of all it's too early to really discern what's going on with any of these schools yet.

But apart from that yes I would strongly encourage you to retake the GMAT as soon as possible. I encourage Indians to have a GMAT that is at least 20 points higher than the class average and that in the 730s for Kellogg.

Yes it's interesting that you have a medium unusual job and that you are female so maybe we could dial that back to something that is similar to the class profile but again that's 732.

I'm afraid I don't think your GMAT is going to put you in contention for US schools. So I would make that your first order of business. If GMAT is not working out for you you might consider taking the GRE, even without prep sometimes it comes out better for people.

As for your application strategy, with your current score.

I would urge you to apply to March deadlines for European schools, where your current GMAT score will be still a bit low but not a deal breaker if the applications are compelling.

INSEAD,January batch round 1 or 2, maybe even LBS & IESE Round 3 of 4. HEC Jan batch, early, like March (strong choice for entrepreneurs). IMD is also Jan batch.the earlier the better.

Its been 4 days and my Alum interviewer in India hasn't responded to my email... Is it OK to call him up directly? Or do I ask the adcom to contact the alum???

Pls help!! Am getting anxious with the 14 days' deadline..
