Has anyone received the "official waitlist email" yet?

No and Admissions is closing until the end of the year. On decision day, they said that email would go out in a few weeks, so my guess is we won’t receive that email until January.

Hi all - I just submitted a waitlist update using the form/link provided in the application portal, and received a confirmation that my update was received. But I did not receive a formal email confirmation about receipt of my update and my portal was not updated indicated that I had submitted a waitlist update. Has anyone experienced this issue/had a different experience?

I've never received an email update either after submitting a waitlist update...I think that page after you submit is basically your confirmation.

I have not and I haven't checked the decision tracker yet but I imagine there may be some changes once the R2 decision date rolls around....

I had a call with my waitlist manager who said that the waitlist decisions should come out about a week or so after the regular R2 decisions.

Though I imagine if you're accepted, you may also hear back on the day of?

A little unclear.

R2 waitlisted here.. don’t feel good frankly, very few are admitted from waitlist and so long to wait for final decision(

Congratulations! Dont be so disheartened; at least you still have shot.

I did not take the GMAT again and dont plan to do it for this year. I had provided 2 updates in the waiting period (from January to March) primarily with information on professional growth and also expressing my continued interest in the program.

Have not heard anything so far (Was WL from R1) although the R2 results are out. Lets hope you are wrong with respect to hearing earlier in case of conversion from WL to a final call.

R1 waitlist applicant here - my dedicated admissions officer reached out to me last week (out of the blue) to connect and discuss my candidacy. The admissions officer mentioned that the decisions will be released a week after R2.

Although I did not hear anything on R2 deadline, I am hopeful that we will get our final decision next week

I am still confused why they reached out to me last week and not call me this week :S

I got into other schools so I’m rooting for you guys now and will likely remove myself from the waitlist if I’m still on it next week.

Here’s what I’ve done so far (note that I haven’t been accepted yet so I don’t know how helpful this is).

I sent 2-3 updates each about a week or two apart. Try to break up whatever you have into multiple updates so you can submit a bit more frequently.

I took the GRE instead of taking the GMAT again because I wasn’t seeing any improvement on the GMAT front.

I also visited Kellogg again and sat in on classes so I could send another update about how that’s changed my perspective of the school etc.

Hope this helps for everyone else!

The admissions officer mainly asked about any updates I wanted to share and whether I had any deadlines in the coming weeks. I do not know exactly what the purpose of the call was - I can only remain optimistic and trust the process. Let's keep our heads up everyone!

good luck to you-- I know that being on the WL is hard-- but if they know that you will come if admitted-- and then know the date which you can wait -- so if you are open to joining class in July-- for example-- that is good for them to know.
