Got accepted yesterday by phone. Really excited! I still haven't received an official email but the portal shows I'm accepted (including confetti).

Have a few questions though:
- Do you know if scholarship offers are inside the portal anywhere, emailed, or are they sent via mail?
- The portal shows a decision to accept or decline. Is that independent of scholarship details?

I emailed the office this afternoon to get clarification and turns out I received the Consortium Fellowship! Danielle stated that consortium recipients will be formally notified next week—I would assume other scholarship and funding decisions will follow the same timeline

I guess everyone who is admitted received the "Here Are Your Next Steps" e-mail? In that mail it is stated that:

-Check your mailbox – You will receive a special gift from the Admissions Team in a few days
-Expect a phone call – Current students will be calling you to offer their congratulations and answer any questions you may have

1) What is that special gift? Scholarship notification or something else?
2) Nowadays I am really busy at work, and usually hold meetings. So will it be rude not to answer the call but call back some hours later?

Hey...I am a recent admit and they sent a few things. The special gift is not scholarship related. They send a UNC blue themed pair of socks and donate to a charity that they support on your behalf. I think once you pay a deposit, they also send a UNC tradition related gift as a welcome (don't want to ruin the surprise). But the special gift is not scholarship related. I also received two calls from students congratulating me and they send a hand-written card.

I have - was notified today I qualified for Dean’s Merit Fellows. However I shot Danielle an email on a Friday and she informed me of scholarship funding (Consortium). I believe formal notifications of scholarship / funding are being released this week!

Overall the interview went very well. Felt like a conversation and not a constant Q&A. All her questions came from my responses and stayed with my resume as the backbone.

1. Walk me through your Resume? What leadership experiences did you have?
2. What was your biggest life lesson that you learned?
3. You had a lot of leadership experience, what type of leader are you?
4. What are your ST/LT Goals?
5. What are you hoping to gain from an MBA?
6. If you were not in a leadership role and was only a team member, how would you contribute?
7. Explain to me your background undergraduate degree (I had a science degree)
8. What makes you want to pursue MBA or move into business?
9. Why MBA to do your dreams/Why now?
10. Why UNC? (speak specifically about the universities Core Values)
11. What questions do you have for me? (talked about the STAR program and DBI program)
