One question - In the Employer section of the application, there is an area that asks for "Years of full-time work experience (upon matriculation, excludes internships)"

Does that mean years of expected work experience on Aug 2020? So in other words should I add a year of work experience to my current work experience?

Can anyone answer this?

Is this the first time in “x” amount of years that not every candidate has been an offered an invite to interview?

I completely agree to your point..but if you read the latest news, there is a lot of talk for Kellogg from admission consultants, agencies and other reporters saying that complete GMAT waiver is a bold step..some are praising their move, some are opposing..so eventually if this all turns out that no such candidate has been accepted, then the question will arise why did they announce such step?? Why there was talk about empathy and help then?
N kellogg had made very clear that they would evaluating candidate work ex, recommendations, GPA, achievements, etc in a detailed way..and no GMAT for R3..also looking at grad transcripts, they can also understand about English skills..

So I wont be surprised if atleast a handful number of candidates will get through in this batch without GMAT..however their past profile will be very strong with outstanding achievements or work ex..

GMAT waiver is complete BS in my opinion. I busted my a** for a year to study for this test, but now they are considering applicants who did not put in the time for GMAT. I get it if they accept a students who had a 3.7 at Princeton/Yale, but how can you know if a student will be able to compete in challenging academic classes if they did undergrad in some other country and have never taken GMAT or TOEFL?

Have some empathy- You really don't know the circumstance that other candidates are facing. And how are you so certain that candidates did not put in the time or work for the test? Maybe they were scheduled to take the exam in March? Who knows. Besides, the GMAT or TOEFL is not the only data point that can tell you if the candidate can compete in challenging academic classes.

To the original point: the fact that they are considering students without GMAT scores doesn't mean they won't look at GMAT scores. Imagine two applicants have identical profiles: one with a high GMAT, one without. You can be quite certain they will accept the student with the GMAT score on their profile over the one without one (all else being equal).

I think A LOT of people are seeing the waiver and thinking it means it will be easy to get in. I really don't think that's the case. It will be a lot harder for someone without a GMAT to earn acceptance than it will be for someone who has a decent score.

What it does tell us is that Kellogg is looking to fill seats and is willing to get creative to do so.

Yeah, I dont really understand if someone was serious about pursuing MBA why would they wait after February to take gmat...Most school fill 75%+ percent of their class with R1 and R2 and R2 deadlines are mostly in Jan/Dec.

I think you're looking at it wrong. It's a way to encourage people who were planning on applying in the 20/21 cycle to pull the trigger and apply now. Those people probably wouldn't have taken the GMAT already.

The 20/21 cycle is probably going to be the most competitive one since 09/10, and right now schools are looking to fill seats. So it makes perfect sense for them to try and take some talent from the 20/21 cycle and admit them now.

Yes^ this is me. I was going to apply in the 2022/2023 cycle, but decided to pull the trigger and apply now. I had already taken the GMAT, but I would've applied even if I hadn't.

If they're not interviewing all Rolling Round 3 applicants I assume that means you can be denied without interviewing? Any insight if you can be accepted without interviewing?

this is why i asked if its worth applying to NW

This makes no sense to me...you extend your round 3 into a rolling app with waitlists from 2 rounds before yuou? So are WL people getting off the list before people who apply?

Their entire process seems confusing and non transparent

Shady as hell. Seems like its just for the numbers. Not wasting my time.

Anyone can clarify or verify this from Clearadmit: "Did anyone heard that Kellogg will be calling to the WL applicants tomorrow, which would be materially final calling for the WL applicants?"
