Thanks andres, I just signed up for a class visit. I'll be sitting in a managerial economics course next week!
It would be great to know your experience with this virtual class visit. Let us know how it goes

I sat in Professor Hall's Managerial Economics this morning. The class was discussing how to quantify external marginal benefits and costs, and apply them to economic analysis. The business he used as an example was an unnamed manufacturing company with significant carbon emissions, and how to analyze what the optimal levels of pollution were. As someone at an oil and gas company, I found this subject particularly interesting as it aligns perfectly for why I am looking to transition to b school.
I found the virtual class extremely engaging. Professor Hall had both his laptop and ipad, and utilized his ipad to draw different cost and margin curves. They seemed to have really ironed out how to deliver traditional classes in a virtual environment. Class engagement was also excellent, there were multiple chances for people to use the "raise hand" feature in zoom. People seemed extremely focused and engaged through the entirety of the lecture.
Overall in my opinion, I was pleasantly surprised by how well Tuck was able to pull off the virtual learning environment. In particular, Professor Hall seems like an extremely engaging teacher and his passion for the subject really shined through. Was also encouraging to see students actively participating. It really helped alleviate my concerns about a potential virtual environment next fall.
Feel free to PM me if anyone has any questions about the experience. I highly recommend attending a virtual session to see for yourself!!
