I always wondered what level does "Difficulty percentage" on Gmatclub indicates?
For Ex: In 600-700 Level questions, the difficulty level ranges from 25% to 45%, what does that mean?
Does 25% implies it is a 600-630 level question? and 45% implies it is a 670-690 level question?
Similarly, in 700 level questions, does 55% implies it is a 700-720 level question and 85% and 95% imply 750+ level?
If someone can please define a range(within 20-30 point difference) as per difficulty level that would really help a lot in understanding the level of questions.
Can someone please help.

I'm also confused on that, but I think it's gmatclub's own difficulty level indicator. That means if the correctness is closed to 40%, then it shows 95% difficulty level. 95% difficulty level means the question is more than hard. Then the next difficulty level is 85%, 75%, 65%, 55%. All these are considered as 700+ level question in gmatclub.

Vishwasjain2008 TheUltimateWinner - The difficulty percentage is directly correlated to the percentage of people who get the question incorrect. The more the incorrect attempts, the higher the percentage difficulty.
Below is the official explanation from our founder, bb.
"We use a histogram ranking of all questions to determine their difficulty with a few adjustments. The idea is to give you a percentile ranking of all questions and we also produce a list of the 150 hardest questions: https://gmatclub.com/forum/150-hardest- ... 04134.html
More info for you:
1. Usually few people post easy questions, so thus GMAT Club has more difficult questions than easier ones
2. We use both difficulty and time used by people to answer the question to determine the difficulty. We take both correct and incorrect time into consideration
3. Some topics such as Quant are usually better represented on GMAT Club with generally stronger quant-capable users, thus some of the quant difficulty has to be adjusted down when it compares GMAT Club vs. general population."
