I actually prefer skype interviews as its much more relaxed and your not as nervous. Being located in South America you'll have a perfectly valid excuse, so definitely stick with the skype.
Last year R2 I had an applicant who applied to several schools and only did a Skype interview for Kellogg. Interestingly he got into Stanford, Booth and Berkeley but was rejected from Kellogg. I agree with the person who said go for the option that best suits your Forte. If you're not good on camera just go and leverage that trip for other visits.
