I agree with Riskietech. If B is a correct choice then comma is missing. Without comma this sentence is a run-on.

Can some expert please explain how B is right here?
Is there a comma missing before fought ? or is B right as it is ?

I got to B by POE
Rejected
A- word revolved missing
C&D- we do not need the word was
E- word revolving

For B, I too really think we require a comma before fought so that it acts as a modifier.

Kudos would be appreciated ?

(A) fought between the federal government of the U.S and the south based eleven-state strong Confederate States, mainly on the issues involving the control of Sentence fragment with no key verb for the subject. Eliminate.

(B) fought between the federal government of the U.S and the south based eleven-state strong Confederate States, revolved mainly on the issues involving the control of Correct answer. The subject has the key verb "revolved".

(C) was fought between the federal government of the U.S and the south based eleven-state strong Confederate States, it revolved mainly on the issues involving the control of Run on sentence, requires a semi colon to separate the two independent clauses. Eliminate.

(D) was fought between the federal government of the U.S and the south based eleven-state strong Confederate States, mainly revolved on the issues in the control of The modifier at the end is incorrectly being applied to the "Confederate States". Requires -ing form to apply to the subject of the previous clause. Eliminate.

(E) fought between the federal government of the U.S and the south based eleven-state strong Confederate States, the war mainly revolving on the issues involving the control of "the war" is redundant. Eliminate.
