I suggest you try free trial courses of various companies and see what style of teaching suits you.
Then decide before going for any paid subscription.

If you want to do self study, You can use specific books/threads/articles that I have found good to clear the basics and move forward.

Quant:
- Manhattan Series
- GMAT Club Quant: https://gmatclub.com/forum/ultimate-gma ... 44512.html
- GMAT Club Tests

Verbal:
- Manhattan SC & RC
- PowerScore CR Bible
- GMAT Club Grammar Book: https://gmatclub.com/forum/ultimate-gma ... 33952.html
- GMATNinja video Series. This is the link for RC : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXWVCiy1WU0

Hope this Helps!

I've recently started my GMAT prep and am looking for a good course to give me some structure.

i havent given any tests yet and havent decided when i want to give the test, i feel my preparation along the way should help me decide when i'm ready.

i bought a subscription to scribd where i was able to find most manhattan guides and have just finished the foundations of gmat math book and am starting with all the quant (manhattan again)

i have the whole day to myself these days and can sit for a good 5-6 hours a day for my preparation (hopefully even more once i start a course)

i feel comfortable just solving questions from a book the whole day but have been told that its better to take a course to prepare for an adaptive test like GMAT.

i am above average in Verbal and i feel i was able to get through the math foundations book quite easily and knew every topic the book covered (i just solved all the practice questions from the book without really going through most of the chapters) and i aim to get a 700+

i'm looking for a flexible course that would let me go at my own pace (solving questions for 6 hours a day is a good day for me, with bad days ranging from 2-3 hours)
i also am not sure if i need a video class teaching me the concepts and feel i could do with solving questions on my own but i'm not sure if thats a good strategy.
i basically am looking for some structure with a course to help me believe that i'm not wasting time solving the same type of questions or the same level of questions repeatedly that i quite often feel when solving every single question in a book.

lastly i would like to ask if solving whole books is a good strategy in itself or would a course be more beneficial.

please feel free to ask for any more information that would help you answer my questions better

Any help, any tips, any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

my budget is around 150 usd
150 USD is not the huge amount. So, it is not possible to do live course with this amount. You can try on-demand course of various prep company. people says: Target test prep is good enough. you can try 'quantumgmat' for math. It is fine. Empowergmat is also good. So, it is better if you take trial.

i dont think i need to look any further and am going to continue with this atleast for the next few months.
Been using it just for a day now and i can already feel the difference.

Hello SahajT,

To assist you better, we would request you to write back with the following questions:

1. What are your current score and target score? (You can mention your diagnostic test score too)
2. How do you rate yourself in Quant and Verbal?

In a generalized way, to crack GMAT, you need a disciplined study plan, command on basic concepts, exposure to agile approaches, reliable resources, updated comprehensive material and mock tests, and an expert with whom you will be connected throughout for your preparations.

You may also see to connect with experts online for your preparation.

As a GMAT instructor, I will first recommend taking our Free diagnostic test https://www.mathrevolution.com/diagnostic/dtExamMember and receiving a comprehensive study guide by topic. This test will clearly help you understand your weak areas. There are also many free materials available in the GMAT Club.

Your diagnostic score will clarify what plan you should adopt to beat the GMAT. An initial mock rating will help to understand your concept knowledge of both the sections.

Time is precious and unstoppable at the same time. You can schedule a Free counseling session for 20 mins with one of our experts: https://calendly.com/mathrevolution/1-o ... th=2020-11 for detailed advice on your study plans.

Since we are a math expert, we will recommend you go through our post on the GMAT club, which gives a complete break-down of Math. Breakdown of GMAT math questions and types: https://gmatclub.com/forum/overview-of- ... l#p1641411

We appreciate your time and patience in reading this reply.

Should you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected]

Success is within your reach.
Good luck!
