This is my very 1st time taking the GMAT. Are we allowed to bring calculators for the exam?

Welcome to the GMAT world!

Unfortunately calculators are not allowed, and fortunately, the quant section of GMAT is all 12th grade basic quant with more focus on reasoning, hence quantitative reasoning.

I would suggest go to www.mba.com and download a free GMAT Prep software, once downloaded you can attempt your first moc test.

Hope this helps! All the best for the GMAT without calculator :)
