Man, I'm scouring through last year's forum, living the highs and the lows vicariously through their posts. How about you? What are you doing to cope?

I am just trying to ignore the deadline and distract myself with my last two applications. I have a friend coming to visit from out of town this weekend too....so distract distract distract is my strategy. That and self care...reading some books I've been waiting to read for months...gossip girl re-runs....anything to keep me busy and away from thinking about those invites..when I do think of the invites....I try to remind myself that 80% don't get invites and to keep my expectations realistic.

Well, I did the same thing for so many schools. What a massively yet satisfying waste of time!

Yeah i’m watching the confession tapes on Netflix. I’m hooked. Honestly, anything from HBS is a bonus win at a lottery. I still have 4 schools left to apply to within 2 weeks.

Ditto on scouring through forums. The waitlist one is especially painful to read... can't imagine being in limbo like that

Traditionally it's been at noon EST but they didn't list a time on the blog post. I would think it would be the same. I hope so so we can do a live chat room.

Don't at all want to further increase applicants' anxiety, but I can't help sharing this blog post... Last year HBS's application volume broke the 10K milestone. If this trend continues, this year will be more competitive... https://gmatclub.com/blog/2017/09/appli ... 2016-2017/

Few more days left!
I've been on a business trip since last week so I could distract myself, but I'm going back tomorrow. I guess I'll start feeling anxious from tomorrow.
Just hoping for the best and managing my expectations. ;D

Given my almost unknown undergraduate school in India and my age and demographic I literally have NO chances, its tragically heroic the way my heart is hopeful. Worst part is I have spent the past 3/4 days obsessing instead of focusing on 2 other apps at places where I have a shot. How do I push this to the back of my mind and work on the relevant apps.

Not to add negative energy here, but does anyone know if the "Rejections" also go out with the interview invites, I mean for those who are not even invited for interviews. Or you just assume if you didn't get the invite you will be rejected but official rejection letter will come later?

Responses on October 5th will include: (i) interview invitations; (ii) rejections without interview; or (iii) deferrals for them to review your application in a later application round. The responses on October 2nd will only include (i).

Yes, you will receive either an Interview Invite or a 'Release' (their euphemism for rejection lol) on either October 2 or October 5.
