Hi Pranu,

I have sent you a PM. Do check it out. Here's my profile in Brief :-

I currently work for INFOSYS as a Senior Associate Consultant( promoted from Associate Consultant in 1.5 years). Though, I work in an IT company, my work is not completely related to IT. I work in a niche domain ( ERP systems--SAP) and mostly interact with clients. Infosys is my second company, the first being Tata Technologies ( a small but unique company with its interests ranging from designing automobiles to designing Airplane hulls ).For the first two years of my employment with Tata Technologies, I gradually graduated from a solutions engineer to engaging more with the client and giving a wider perspective of how our solutions would simplify their work. Hence when I was given an opportunity to work for more international clients, I jumped at it and switched to Infosys. My goal of becoming a product manager is in line with Work and experience I have gained .
I am an indian, male( 26 years ) and have graduated from Birla Institute of Technology(15th rank throughout India) and hold an undergraduate degree in computer science.
Have a few extra curricular activities, mostly in the NGO space (Had worked in Sarva Shikya Abhiyan- The Government of India's Flagship Initiative for Free primary Education during my college days ) and last year I opened my own school in my village. This school is the first English medium school in my village.

Do I have a chance in kelley? I can show leadership skills thorugh my school, since I am the youngest member in the governing body of the School.

Thanks,
Pravat

Folks, Please share your interview experience. Questions!

Interview date: 16 Nov.; Place: Bangalore; Interviewer: Jim Holmen; Duration: 40 mins

Met Jim in the hotel lobby and exchanged pleasantries. These were the questions he asked (in same order)
1. Why MBA
2. Why Indiana
3. What would your teammates learn from you.
4. What would you learn from them.
5. Differences between startup and corporate culture (I transitioned from corporate to start-up).
6. Anything else you want to tell me, which you think I should know (bring out the best thing which you don't have on your resume).
7. Any questions.

Since I have a considerable experience with US companies and startup experience, most of my interview revolved around that.
Verdict: I think it went well. Fingers crossed. :-D

Folks, Please share your interview experience. Questions!

I had my interview with Jim Holmen on 18th Nov at Bangalore. We started early as I reached half an hour earlier than my scheduled time. Started with discussing about Bangalore traffic and jumped into the actual interview.
1. Why do you want to do an MBA?
2. In what position do you want to see yourself after MBA?
3. While selecting MBA schools, which aspects did you consider?
4. What motivates you?
5. What do you do in your free time?
6. How would you want your Kelley team to be?
7. What will your teammates learn from you?
8. What would your colleagues highlight as your strengths?
9. What would your colleagues highlight as your improvement areas?
10. Do you have any regrets in your journey till now? (Discussed about my Under Grad Major which got me nowhere)
11. Do you have any apprehensions to do an MBA now?
12. Tell me if there is anything you’d want me to know about you?
13. Questions if you have any.
I really got a feel of a conversational interview. Discussed something or the other in almost every question. Hope this helps.

I had my interview with Jim Holmen on 21st Nov at New Delhi/Gurgaon. We started on my scheduled time. Started with discussing about Delhi traffic and bad traffic sense in India. Then we jumped on to the questions. All the questions were more or less same as mentioned by Tharun. I am just adding couple of new questions he asked.

1. Why Kelley?
2. What are you most proud of?
3. Any weakness you would like to work on.
4. Any challenging/pressure situations you worked in.
5. Skills you have developed so far from your professional life.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

I had mine yesterday in Delhi/ Gurgaon. The questions were pretty much the same except a few more:

1. Do you have any apprehensions to do an MBA from US?
2. What qualities should members of a good team have?
3. Why Kelley?
4. What qualities have I developed through my professional experience?
5. How do I deal with an irate/frustrated customer? (As I am working in a customer support role)
6. What were my learning from my failures in my entrepreneurial ventures?
7. We discussed a bit about my long term goal.
8. And a few things about my hobbies.

Thanks,
ersheet

Chances are high that you will get standard reply stating 'your application review is under process' but it's ok to ask for status.
