I'm a bit confused. I thought Kellogg interviewed everyone? Are y'all saying that they might send you a "thanks but no thanks" email? That seems odd, because I'm sure lots of people have made non-refundable travel arrangements and stuff.
I'm supposed to be flying into the polar vortex this evening for my interview tomorrow. Not sure if they are planning on being there or not...

Kellogg interviews 80% of the applicants. I believe there is a chance that waivers (to exempt people from interviewing - basically a rejection) may be given to people who choose not to participate in the on-campus interviews. Also, DAK is happening this weekend still so your interview should be still on
Did anyone get a mail from Kellogg announcing the official appointment of the new Dean? Basically said that while you wait for your application results, please get to know more about our new Dean.
Yep I did.. and I heard from past applicants that they got one too, just without the line "as you wait for the results".. So, I think it's just a blast mail.

Just received an email that financial aid applications (eligible to US citizens and permanent residents only) are now available via the application portal. Deadline is 3/6/2019.

Yeah I received this but not the email about the dean
Did everyone sign up for a 20 minute chat with Kellogg's AdCom? I think it was really cool of Kellogg to do that, got some useful information and contacts within Kellogg's network to help me prepare for my interview.
Yeah, but it was sent to everyone subscribed to Kellogg's mailing list I think. I doubt there is any email sent before decision date that can give us any indication. Email trick however should still work day (or two) before the decision announcement, unless they fixed it.

Kellogg creates email address for admitted applicants a day or two before releasing results. So if you use any of the websites that checks whether email address can be reached, you can check whether you got in or not. I only discovered it because during R1 notifications, someone sent this message around and it worked for Kellogg and a couple of other schools.

I received an off-campus interview invite yesterday afternoon. I sent an email to the interviewer and I'm looking forward to it. The wait has been stressful but I'm glad I at least get the opportunity to interview.
