Admissions director Rodrigo Malta spent full three days interviewing candidates in India, so may be its a result of that! Or it may be that people are just reporting their admits more enthusiastically..

Its tough being wait listed. You can get in touch with the school to ask them if they recommend doing anything at this stage.. What you can probably do is that ask permission from the school to submit an extra recommendation. If they allow, find someone who can turn in a good recommendation for you.

You can also try to make improvement in your GMAT if you want, but that's probably too much to ask at this stage.

Waitlisted!

Does McCombs waitlist every applicant who has not been admitted? There are so many wait-lists out there and it seems that it is really irrelevant. Any thoughts?

any idea when the waitlist may move or on how many ppl may be upgraded to admit? (think that this year the waitlists are more than that of last year, I may be wrong)

I was waitlisted after interview.. but I felt that my interview went really well.. :(

Waitlisted after interview over Skype.

I guess nobody managed to interview with alums in Delhi.I was willing to travel to Mumbai city for interview with Ad Com.However, hub interviews in India were only till 30 Oct and i got my invite on 29 Oct. I really needed time to prepare for the interview and hence selected Skype option.

I felt that I had a good Skype interview....but there are so many data points....Also, no clue how the waitlist works.
My R1 situation isn't looking very pleasant either. Feeling were nervous going into R2 now. Can someone suggest some decent schools focused on Clean Energy /Tech and Marketing/Entrepreneurship ?

Lots of questions on the waitlist situation. I came across this particular topic from last year which does shed some light. Personally, based on the posts , I feel that we should not be very optimistic and consider the best alternatives available.

The website says that typically Scholarships are announced at the time of the decision release. But it seems to me that only the students who received phone calls have received information on scholarships. May be they send out a separate email in sometime if you get a scholarship. Or we'll probably have to wait till the admissions packet arrives.

I'm guessing that scholarship information will be included in the Admit Packet. The admissions person who called me told me about my scholarship, but the application website doesn't show anything and I have not received any separate emails about it.

I literally just received an email outlining the scholarship info. So I guess if you got a scholarship, you will hear about it soon via email.

secondtimesthecharm I surely hope so. After waiting for the admission decision, now got to wait for the admit packet.The wait never seems to end... Any idea when to expect it? My guess is late January as the school will now be closed for Christmas.

Did any international admit hear anything on scholarship?
