:) :) :)

PS: Did you get the survey? I am amazed by the intricacy of the content... Very sought out!!

I also got the survey... But they said it is anonymous. Or are we talking about different surveys? Because I did not get one just after completing my interview?

Got an invite for Alumni on Wall Street event.
Since I don't have a decision yet (applied R2), is it really worth going? Anybody has went to similar events in the past can share the experience?

If you want to work in finance, then I'd say yes, for the ability to learn a bit more about the industry as you enter business school (either McDonough or somewhere else). Remember, if you're aiming for I-baking or consulting, recruiting events begin in about *six* months.

But in regards to admissions? Attendance at a school-sponsored event won't be the crux of getting admitted or denied.

Got an email from GT with subject line " Application evaluation check in" , that explains in detail the process that my application is currently going thru :| . Anyone else got the same? They should just roll the decisions rather than sending such mails :P

got the same generic email as well. wouldn't see it as anything beyond keeping in touch with those in the process currently. IMO - it's a nice touch since most schools elect to stay silent

Received the same. Honestly, with a little over two weeks until the decision deadline the only thing that I want to hear from any of these schools is either an invitation to interview or an acceptance/rejection notice.

March 20 is Sunday so I'm not sure if the decisions can be released as the office will typically be closed. Do we expect calls on Thursday/Friday?

Not to draw too fine a point, but I was originally scheduled to interview on a Saturday. The AdCom folks at McDonough crank during the admissions season based on my discussion with a member of their office. My point is I wouldn't discount them working on the decision date (Sunday) and to not be too nervous if they don't ring you by Friday. That said, I'm also waiting on a decision and doing a little nail biting, myself. :-D

In the meantime, "If you can't be patient, be distracted"

Finished my interview on Friday with a member of the Adcom:

1.) Walk me through you résumé.
2.) Why an MBA, why now, and why Georgetown– I am going straight from undergrad to MBA, because I am a military applicant?
3.) Describe a time when you had to lead people who were not committed, how did you gain commitment?
4.) Describe a time when you had to do something outside of your area of expertise, and how you reacted?
5.) Constructive critism received and how you reacted?
6.) Three words a supervisor would use to describe you?
7.) What is your leadership style?
8.) How many people did you lead?
9.) How are you quantitatively?

Really dug into my leadership experiences. Interview flowed well and quickly only took about 25mins. Adcom was friendly and thorough. They took notes on my résumé.

How many R1 admits here have finally paid the deposit and decided to join GT? I have observed something on this forum plus a few others (like clear admit). ....a lot of people have gotten admits from GT but not many have finally decided to enrol in the program. Am I missing something here or are these decisions based on scholarship awarded?

I received a class email about that program about a month ago. Apparently these are the perks for you:

-An informational interview with the Associate Dean of MBA Admissions
-A $75 reduction in the application fee
-Priority interview consideration
