Thanks everyone for participating in the latest adcom chat. Thanks Darshi04, Max.MayankG, ELC, tomandjerry, jbukawyn, Addie08, AVORWALD for asking some great questions in the session.

Here's are key takeaways from the chat. Full transcript is also available to download below.

  • Whether you apply to Tuck directly or through Consortium/Forte, acceptance rates do not differ
  • Tuck in no way takes age into consideration when evaluating candidates. It’s up to each candidate to explain why the MBA makes sense for their intended career path, why now, and how prior experiences will contribute to the class/community.
  • Those willing to pursue Entrepreneurship track need not to have a venture before joining Tuck.
  • Tuck recently hired a new real estate faculty member and offer a handful of elective courses around this topic. There’s also a Real Estate Club.
  • Tuck’s Dean, Matt Slaughter, just did a webinar for prospective students. If you missed it live, you can catch it here; https://www.tuck.dartmouth.edu/admission ... fe-at-tuck

I'm an idiot and just realized that unlike most schools, Tuck requires a transcript from study abroad institutions, too. I'm trying to get a copy of mine, but it's not looking good by tomorrow's deadline. Should I submit without it? Explain in the optional essay...? My undergrad transcript shows that I received credit for that semester but doesn't include the course names.

I'd send a screenshot if possible or PDF, regardless if official and send them a note that you can submit official ASAP. I don't think optional essays would be for this.

From memory, official is not needed until enrollment?

Ah, that would be a good thought, but unfortunately I don't even have an unofficial copy.

energy2pe suggestion sounds great. If you don't have access to your transcript, I would still go ahead and submit the application and write to the adcom about how to send your transcripts.

I am in the US, but could not schedule an applicant-initiated interview for R2. Does that put me at a disadvantage?

Honest truth: Yes, I think that would put you at a disadvantage. If there were no available time slots, I would reach out to the school and ask if you could get on a waitlist or something if an interview slot opens up.
