Will Tuck email/call applicants or update on portal?

They will call admits during the day and then update portals at 5pm with scholarship info

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone knows what Tuck's stand on alumni/current student letters of support is. Basically an informal endorsement. I'm really really keen on Tuck and looking to get off the waitlist in R2, and thought maybe that might be valuable? I'd love any advice/prior experience with this. Thanks so much!

I asked a current student the same question, and she said having anlumni vouch for you through prefessional experience with you can be helpful

So would this mean that it's prudent to have an alumni vouch for a waitlistee if they have shared WE? I have some close friends who are Tuck alums, but we all worked for different companies/industries. For sure I could get them to vouch for me, but not sure if it's going to look back if they don't really know me professionally. Also, how would the vouch work? Do they write an additional LoR to the school following the application format, or is it much less formal as Tarae mentioned, something similar to a business email?

Out of curiosity if we get an email anytime before 5pm on the 12th we can assume its a rejection?

In R1, they sent an email one week before the decisions to give a heads-up on when decisions would be released. As far as I am aware, they never send rejection emails--the portal is simply updated at 5pm with a rejection letter if you're rejected.
