Hello guys. Please does being invited to interview with Tuck mean anything? I'm asking since they do self-initiated interview. It seems like an interview invite is just a next step process, and not an indicator of whether they like one's application as one would interpret an interview invite from schools that solely interview by invitation.

Same question, does everyone who doesn’t apply for the on campus interview get the invite?

Think it's probably not a bad sign, but I was invited R1 and eventually waitlisted so I wouldn't read into it too much.

Agreed -- similar to Kellogg, I think Tuck would ideally interview everyone if they could, and so if you apply and they're able to match you with an alum in your area quickly, they do it. It's not a screener in the same way that it is for the schools that use the interview as basically a first round of cuts.

That's only true for self-initiated interviews

For those who did not schedule an interview on campus, just over 1 in 4 were invited for committee-initiated interviews the last cycle, referencing the interview Luke had with ClearAdmit. Also interviews are conducted mostly with second-year Tuck Admissions Associates (TAAs) from Tuck's blog post about the admissions interview.

But worth keeping in mind it's just one component of the application, like someone else had said. Good luck!

I just looked at that interview. So if just over 1 in 4 gets invited for the committee-initiated interviews, then being invited for an interview is quite a positive news. However, just like interviews elsewhere, you can get any decision thereafter.

I saw Luke's LinkedIn post from 20th Jan. They had completed the review of 26% applications and sent out about 240 interview invites by then. So there is still hope, I am also waiting

I am a bit confused with the number. Read 26% application and sent out ~240 interviews. Considering the 1/4 invited number mentioned above, the total round 2 application number is ~4000? That seems insane.

They receive about 1500 apps to accept 500 for a class of 280 (very much ballpark numbers). That’s across all rounds, with nearly all in round 1 or 2. So 700-800 in round 2.

26% of ~7-800 applications is ~200. How can they send out 240 interviews? Are they sending interview invites to everyone?

Everyone interviews for Tuck. You sign up for an interview and if you don’t theyll set you up for one. Kellogg and Tuck have a similar process.

I self-initiated so not sure. But I would guess 50-75% signed up on their own, 25% self-initiated, and any remaining applicants were dinged without interview.

Does it make sense to apply to Tuck in round 3 as an international applicant (indian)?

This idea that “everyone interviews at Tuck” is false. Please see the interview clearadmit conducted with Luke.

Can we all agree to not spread misinformation during this stressful time?
