Just did my video interview yesterday. Not bad! They don't give you very much time to respond, like 2 minutes per question. They were easy questions but not ones I had thought to study! Hope my responses came off alright.

FYI the practice questions were very different, they were seemlingly unrelated to B school. Things like "what would you cook for a dinner party" and "what's your favorite book?:

Does anyone know if there is a way to watch your responses after you've submitted?

Actually, you cannot see your responses after submission.
I am planning to do it on Sunday.

Can you share the questions you got in the main interview ?

Sure, it was "what type of leader are you" and "why did you choose your last job"

I guess they asked absurdly unrelated questions in the practice interview so that you would be more comfortable answering relevant questions. I am not usually one to talk about myself and would have taken quite some time to come up with responses to such questions, but the random practice questions must have helped because I came up with answers to these within moments.

For Everyone Concerned about the video Interview.
Here is the Chat Excerpt Regarding the same=>

Narenn :-There has been quite a lot of discussion on forum regarding "Video interview" component of the application. Can you throw light on this? Any tips/advice to applicants who are preparing for the video interviews? Thanks!

Alexsis Scott (Associate Director of Admissions at UWA Foster) :- The videos have two questions, and each answer is 1 minute and 30 seconds.
One could be of a more personal nature, such as what is your favorite book, and another will be geared toward a professional aspect of your life.
You will have the opportunity to practice prior to officially submitting the video that is considered for your application.

Hi Guys,

I am from an NIT level college ( Birla Institute of Technology) and have a 7.02/10 GPA. This when converted to the 4 scale ( as per the gpa calculator) converts to ust 3.02.
Will this be a problem ? My college is not known to give out high GPA and further since we have an absolute rating scale, the topper of our batch has a gpa of 8.00

Does foster also see the relative ranking of your UG college ?? Or I need to inform them somehow about this GPA thing. I am already done with my essays and in the optional essays I mainly focused on My Extra curricular.. So Am not comfortable editing the optional essay now

Can anyone share some insights??

I don't think you have to convert your GPA to US GPA. Most of the US schools know about different grading scales in India. Foster's admission director confirmed that in the chat as well.

I don't think you have to convert your GPA to US GPA. Most of the US schools know about different grading scales in India. Foster's admission director confirmed that in the chat as well.

In one place, its written that the college will convert all foreign transcripts . But in the very first step of the application flow, it asks to state a GPA. A GPA converter APP is also given ( if you click on the help section) and you can convert the GPA. For now, I have filled that with the converted GPA.

Has anyone applied to Foster for second deadline ie 15th November one here and heard back from school?

I submitted my app a couple of weeks back. Haven't heard a thing from school. No video interview or anything. Does that mean a ding?

The Foster admissions team does not start reviewing the application until after the deadline for that particular Round. Basically, you have submitted your application 2 weeks back and I will be submitting it today. The adcom will look at both applications only from 16th Nov.

You can expect interview invites a couple of weeks after the deadline as was the case with Round 1 applicants.
