Waitlisted for R3. The portal only said I was waitlisted, and I provided a response that 'yes' I wanted to remain on waitlist.

Are there any good next steps? Do they offer feedback? If I want to provide updates / provide letter of intent or plans, should I reach out to general inbox, or send to my interviewer? Any strategies specifically to UNC?

Also, any idea of the waitlist acceptance rate at UNC?

 one quick question what is your application status showing on portal.?? 
Mine is saying application completed.
PS : I am waitlisted after interview.(R-3) My application status was (for good no of days) in form of comment -" your waitlist response has been recorded..".
