I'm filling out the application online now, and for the essays, looks like there are only text boxes to paste them in and there's no way to format or upload in PDF. Is that the same for others? How do you make sure it's formatted well before submitting?

In recent years, tech jobs are more demanded than finance jobs. At least this is the impression I have.

Did this impact Wharton MBA? Do they try to rebrand themselves?

There is no re-branding required - all the schools pitch themselves as all rounders in terms of career choices available post MBA.

But schools do have varying core-values - that's more of a differentiator.

Hi I am applying for Wharton Lauder program.
I have a question regarding the months of WE.

It was stated in the application form to input the number of months of work experience until August 2018,
but since I am applying for Wharton Lauder (starts on May 2018), should I count until April 2018 instead?

My work experience until Aug2018 will be 73, compared to 69 by April 2018.
I guess it doesn't change that much, but I just want to be consistent with my application.

Hoping for an advice.
Thanks!

Generally you put WE till the time of matriculation, so you're right. You should consider till April.

Soooo...I just had a recommender pull out...I am working to find my back up right now...but I just have to vent a little because my recommender agreed to help in May, is someone I have done great work for (through their own admission), I gave them plenty of support, and then they pulled out 8 days before the deadline. It makes things very stressful...and honestly given the contributions I have made to their organization over the years it kinda sucks on a personal level too

Hi guys, needed some help.

I'm struggling with the word limit vs. character limit issue. My First Essay is exactly 500 words as asked, but that amounts to only 3129 characters as against the 7500 character limit for the text box. I will be using less than half the space. Also, 7500 characters for a 500 word essay is an average of 15 characters per word - I am confused. Do I adhere to the word limit or character limit? Will I cut a sorry figure for using less than half the allowed number of characters? What have you guys done?

It's the word limit that matters. The character limit is just there for some technical reason I suppose. Most essays with 500 words would end up around 3000 characters. Don't worry about it.

Got my replacement rec sorted and submitted just in time. Feeling a lot better now. Still slightly disappointed in my first pick but nothing I can do about that.

Yeah, forget about it now! Glad you're able to sort it out.

I am taking a last look at my wharton-lauder application before I hit send. ;p

Why did he back out though? What a douche-y thing to do.
