Huh, Just a FYI everyone: Yale admissions office is willing to provide feedback on unsuccessful applications apparently (I read one of their chat transcripts on here).

I got an interview invite today at 5:20 pm PST! Don't give up hope! I'm a US applicant and applied through the Consortium.
Hey there, did you apply second round through the consortium? I'm just trying to figure out where I stand. It seems as if all 2nd round consortium are considered 3rd rounders at the schools.

Yes I applied R2 through the Consortium and am considered R2 with Yale.

Yeah, no news in a while. (Any more decisions?) A fresh week now, we're getting fairly deep into R2... hopefully some good news soon?

EDIT: it looks like Yale is kind of the opposite of CBS in terms of decisions. With CBS, the rejections have been coming first, and the longer without a rejection, the better. But has Yale rejected anyone yet? It seems that all the decisions so far have been invites to interview, so no news so far is bad news.

I just got an email last night with an interview invitation, but it looks like there are only three days open, two of which are this Thursday and Friday! Hopefully they'll let me do a Skype interview; I don't think I can make it up there on such short notice. Anybody else opt for a Skype interview instead?

Were there many time slots open on those days, and when was the third day that you saw open? Did the calendar also let you see days that they are interviewing but are booked?

The optimist in me is hoping that they released dates through early Feb for the big wave of invitees in early January/others who have trickled in since, and there is at least another wave for late Feb/March interviewing still to come, but guess it might be time to give up hope on this one...

I received an invitation to interview via email last night as well (I applied on Jan 5). They gave me three dates to choose from, the last of which was February 22. They asked that I email them my date preference and then they just assigned me a time (although this process may be different for us Consortium applicants, I'm not sure).

Note: my video responses were absolutely terrible. I was sure I wasn't going to get invited to interview in person...

Last date was the 26th. A few others were grayed out, now the 11th is too. It would be nice if I could interview in person in March, but no luck on the website. I'll see what they say over email, hopefully skype is OK with them.

Does anybody know if requesting an interview via Skype instead of travelling weakens the application??

I think it's one of those things that doesn't hurt your application but it also doesn't help. They won't think any less of you if you can't make it to campus, but making the trip and visiting face to face with admissions people is a good way to boost your chances.

If 12% on GMATClub invited so far, and assuming that GMATClub members have a slightly better chance than average, there is still hope for the rest of us. Yale should be inviting around 30% to interview... so hang in there.

I agree! I'm lucky enough to be interviewing tomorrow but a close friend of mine is still hoping for an interview invite. I looked at Clear Admit results from last year and it looks like Yale sent invite out up until the last week of February so hope is still alive for everyone else and I wish you all the best of luck!!

It's been all interview invites so far, but not all interview invites have been sent.

So not hearing by now is not a good sign, but there is still a chance until you're dinged. How much that says about your chances I don't know (does Yale invite the strongest candidates first? is there a different system?).
