I'm working with someone who is receiving an accommodating for extra time on the GMAT. For practice CATs, does anyone know which providers will allow you to take the test with extended time?

Thanks!

I think you can pause on any practice CAT and it will let you continue from where you stopped. Veritas and Kaplan have this feature I think.

Hi warwickstrategies,

All Kaplan CATs can be taken with timing accommodations. This feature can be activated in the CATs that come with our current books using a keystroke sequence. I will follow up with a private message to share the instructions. I will also note that beginning with our GMAT Prep 2018 and GMAT Prep Plus 2018 books when they are released, the extended time will be an option in a dropdown menu when beginning a CAT that comes with those books. Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Best,
Jennifer Kindy

Yes, you can add extended time features to the 6 official GMAT practice exams from mba.com.

Just go to Settings (sprocket icon) / Accommodations in your account, and enter your accommodations code from GMAC to activate extended time on the practice exams.

Yes, I stumbled across this old thread after a Google search on the topic.

I guess you could say that I needed "extended time" to reply.

Has anyone else come across a problem with the "New" practice platform? It doesn't look like accommodations are available anymore...

Hi Vubar,

Unfortunately, you appear to be correct: I can't find anywhere to select extended-time accommodations on the new official GMAT practice platform.

However, given that the platform is cloud-based and brand-new, it's certainly possible that the functionality simply hasn't been coded in yet.

I can confirm now, it's a known issue.

The place to enter your accommodation code to activate it is the same place you put the activation codes for purchased products.
Apparently no one who had an accommodation actually received their updated codes though, so GMAC are just giving them to people as they call up asking.

Good to know, thanks! So the new accommodation codes are different than the old ones, correct?

I see that GMAC is taking yet another "fly by the seat of our pants" approach when it comes to integrating extended-time accommodations into the new practice platform.

Yeah, that's right, the old codes don't work in the new platform. Staff were very helpful though!
